Default Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch Off the market after failing to sell for 5 years

Michael Jackson's famed Neverland Ranch has been pulled off the market after almost five years and multiple price cuts, Compass confirmed to Business Insider.
Originally listed for $100 million in 2015 under a new identity as Sycamore Valley Ranch, the ranch was discounted to $67 million two years later, and then relisted again for $31 million in 2019.
Kyle Forsyth of Compass, one of the former listing agents for the ranch, told Business Insider that the agents representing the ranch found interested potential buyers, but no deal could be reached with the seller, Colony Capital.
The ranch was last on the market in 2019 for $31 million a nearly 70% discount from its original asking price.
Jackson, who bought the property for $19.5 million in 1987, defaulted on a loan after financial hardships and entered Neverland into an ownership agreement with Colony Capital in 2008 for $23 million, according to ABC News.
Colony Capital, the private investment firm that manages the ranch, declined Business Insider's request for comment for this story.

^ Exactly what I was going to say. It's obvious why it's not selling even after rebranding.

I'm just surprised there's not some creepy secret billionaire with a Jackson fetish that doesn't want to snap this up for bragging rights. There always seems to be one.

I have actually read that it's a challenge for more than just the pedo thing. It's out the in the middle of BFE, not easy to get to, needs millions in renovations, etc...

Maybe Weinstein would be interested in it. There's probably lots of couches in there. The douche.

^^^ Sometimes that old school, Old Testament retribution just seems fitting, you know?

My first idea was just to demolish it, but burning it seems more symbolic.

The property itself looks comfortable and relaxing but the history is killing it. They should just demolish it.

The property should be turned into a children's home and animal refuge combo, with lots of oversight and transparency so nothing shady can go on. And his estate should pay for everything.
