Default Milla Jovovich gives birth to baby girl named Osian Lark Elliot

Milla Jovovich has given birth to a daughter named Osian Lark Elliot Jovovich-Anderson, calling the newborn her “miracle baby.”

“Osian is a welsh boy’s name and it’s pronounced O-shin. …” the “Resident Evil” star, 44, captioned a picture of the baby on Monday. “She’s so beautiful! … She’s our miracle baby and we’re all so grateful to have her and completely obsessed with her!!”

Jovovich announced on Instagram Saturday that her daughter’s birth was imminent. She and husband Paul W. S. Anderson, 54, are also parents to Ever, 11, and Dashiel, 4.

“Due date is tomorrow so getting ready to go to the hospital at anytime now!!” she captioned a picture of herself wearing a pink bow headband. “It’s funny because I thought having our 3rd would be a piece of cake, but I’m actually really nervous, now that I know what to expect!

The “Hellboy” star announced in August she was pregnant again after saying she’d undergone an “emergency abortion” two years prior because she had gone into pre-term labor.

The actress, who was four-and-a-half months pregnant and shooting on location in Eastern Europe at the time, said she was awake during the procedure and called it “one of the most horrific experiences I have ever gone through.” “Abortion is a nightmare at its best,” she wrote on Instagram last year. “No woman wants to go through that. But we have to fight to make sure our rights are preserved to obtain a safe one if we need to.”

Poor child is going to spend the rest of her life telling everyone how to spell/say her name correctly.

I just checked IMDB, and there are about 30 actors in there with that first name. Pretty wild because I've never heard of it.

Hey, a Welsh boy’s name, let’s give it to a girl because we don’t care about that culture.

I don't think giving a girl a traditional boy's name is disrespecting culture. People do it everywhere, all the time nowadays. They might consider it an homage.

That name is new to me, at first I thought they misspelled "ocean".

I know what you mean, but it just seems kinda weird to me when it’s a name from a language people are fighting hard to keep alive. Osian was a poet afaik so it’s more like being named after a specific person, I guess, could be worse.
