Default Kanye West asked people to not have premarital sex while working on his album

Kanye West gave his first in-depth interview in months to promote his new album, Jesus Is King, and the rapper didn't hold back. From President Donald Trump to mental health to his addictions, West tackled a variety of topics in his usual candid fashion. West invited Zane Lowe to his ranch in Wyoming and their two-hour chat was released on Apple Music’s Beats 1 on Thursday.

"Now that I’m in service to Christ, my job is to spread the gospel, to let people know what Jesus has done for me. I’ve spread a lot of things," he shared. "There was a time I was letting you know what high fashion had done for me. I was letting you know what the Hennessey had done for me. I was letting you know all these things, but now I’m letting you know what Jesus has done for me, and in that I’m no longer a slave; I’m a son now, a son of God. I’m free."

Kim Kardashian's husband wanted people working on the album to feel close to God, too. "I was asking people to fast during the album," he explained. "There's times I was asking people to not have premarital sex while they were working on the album. ... I thought if we could all focus and fast ... the power is increased."

The topic shifted to West's own relationship with temptation.

"I think when people have been addicted to something... with God, I've been able to beat things that had full control of me," he said. "Some people drown themselves in drugs, and I drowned myself in my addiction."

    "Which was what?" Lowe asked.

    "Sex," West replied.

At one point during the interview West said, "Playboy was my gateway into full-on pornography addiction. My dad had a Playboy left out at age five, and it’s affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life, from age five to now, having to kick the habit."

Sex also "fed" his ego. "Money, clothes, cars, accolades, the advent of social media, a Twitter account, paparazzi photos, going to Paris Fashion Week — all of that," he noted. West called social media "modern day cigarettes" and said even he can be triggered by posts.

"I suffer — and I appreciate the suffering because we can just feel a little bit of what Jesus felt when we suffer, but social media makes me suffer," he continued. "I suffer from that and by me saying this out loud, I'm sure there's other married men that suffer in a similar way that are happy to hear me say, 'Oh ya, I'm suffering.'"

"Why just married men?" Lowe asked.

"Because social media prompts women in particular to put out content that they wouldn't have put out — "

"So, you're referring to your sex addiction?" Lowe clarified.

"Yeah, it definitely... I deal with my addiction. When I was younger and I wanted to see something like that I had to pay someone that was older to go to 7/11 and buy it," he replied.

West and Lowe's conversation veered in and out of politics throughout their time together.

"I told my wife, 'Jesus Is King is coming. There's going to be a lot of attacks... spiritual warfare," he shared.

"Give me some other examples where someone is saying something that isn’t what you're culturally supposed to say? ... Give me an example where someone is saying what you're not supposed to say. I bet there's only one name you can think of," West asked Lowe, laughing, "You don’t want to say it, do you liberal?"

The "Christian innovator," as West calls himself now, was referring to President Trump.

"I owe nobody nothing. My forefathers have already fought the fight, so it's not a fight when I put the [MAGA] hat on. It's simply my opinion, and it's next subject," he told Lowe. But the subject went back to the MAGA hat a couple more times.

"Now, liberals love art, right?" West said. "And now I am unquestionably, undoubtedly, the greatest human artist of all time. It’s not even a question at this point. It’s just a fact. So for the greatest artist in human existence to put a red hat on was like God’s practical joke to all liberals. Like, 'Nooo, not Kanye!'"

He later added, "I feel another thing related to me wearing the hat that liberals love to do is say, 'Oh this relates to mental health. His story is mental health.' My wife would go places and people would be like, 'Is Ye okay? Is he okay?' Like, Kobe Bryant has won five championships and he's got a lot of injuries. His story isn't pulling an achilles and every story after that how he pulled an achilles."

West said the press always "wants to make the conversation about mental health."

"I do love the fact I can show the world that I'm sitting here and have been diagnosed, been put on medication to make me fat on purpose... they are trying to kill the superhero," he continued. "I'm here to show that someone that's diagnosed can still... be the founder of a multibillion dollar organization [like Yeezy], can still be in service to Christ, can still be a good husband and a good dad. My life does not end with this diagnosis, and I will not be stigmatized and discriminated against."

After his 2016 hospitalization, West was diagnosed as bipolar and has been on and off medication in recent years. The rapper said the place he's "had the most space to think" was at the hospital.

"That's where I had the most space to think," he shared. "One of the things that happened when I went to the hospital is I started reading the bible and I started writing out, copying and writing out bible verses and a person came to my house that wasn’t a Christian and told me come over, and then 30 minutes later I was in handcuffs headed to the hospital. Now this person very well may have saved my life because when you’re in an episode you could jump off the side of a balcony, you can stab your eye out... you can do a lot of things when you’re ramped up like that, but one of the things that people do now is they try to discriminate against my mind and my thoughts because of that moment. ... I still have radical thoughts, visions, future ideas and sometimes when I say them out loud people just denounce it and say, 'Oh, you're crazy.'"

It's something he thinks happens to him in the media often.

"When the media says, 'Kanye defends his support of Trump.' I didn't know I was in a courtroom? I don't gotta defend nothing," he added. "I ain't trying to say the right answer. I'm just doing what I feel."

West said, "I am a liberal."

"I 100 percent feel and understand why people have their position that are on the left. I 100 percent understand the people on the right, and the issue is communication. That people are not communicating," West explained, saying he won't be muted because of his race. "'If you're black, don't talk to this person.' No, I'm gonna talk to everybody as long as I got air in my lungs. I'm gonna pull up and say, 'Hey [Vladimir] Putin, how you doing? Hey Kim Jong Un, how you doing?' I will have a conversation with anyone with respect and love. I have love and respect for everyone. I don't have admiration for everyone, but I have love and respect."

During the interview, West confirmed he still plans to run for president one day. "We're working on some things right now," he declared.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he was "off" during this interview.

1 his addiction is his ego 100%
2 he sounds exactly like every other holier-than-thou Christian that has to “prove” their faith by being bound to the narrowest path possible. #waitsforhimtodenouncehomosexuality #Christianforratings
3 he needs to take his meds.
4 being “attacked” because someone disagrees with you because you’re being a knob is *not* “spiritual warfare”

Oh yes, he just embodies humility and christian virtues. He and "the greatest president of all time" are made for each other.

Wow. He has really lost the plot. I actually feel sorry for him. Maybe I shouldn't, but I do.

I guess I must feel sorry for him too because I have no urge to snark on this. I felt really uncomfortable reading it.

He's not addicted to sex, he's addicted to himself. Or as mentioned above, his ego. He's damn near gay for himself.

But perhaps his fetishes are why he ended up married to a wannabe porn star. I say wannabe so as not to disrespect the actual, professional porn stars who work for a living and at least manage to fake being sexually excited while getting pounded as opposed to lying there like a lump.

Damn straight! Have sex on your own time, not during working hours. That goes for married people too.

Noone asks Kobe Bryant if he is ok because he is ok. People ask Kanye because he clearly is not ok.

Kanye West claims Democrats are making black people ‘abort our children’

    https://pagesix.com/2019/10/29/kanye...-our-children/

Kanye West, who released his latest album “Jesus Is King” last week, claims Democrats have “brainwashed” African-Americans — and are making them “abort” their children.
The 42-year-old rapper and fervent supporter of President Trump spoke with radio host Big Boy on Friday as part of his promotion of the long-delayed, gospel-inspired album.
“We’re [black Americans] brainwashed out here, bro. Come on, man. This is a free man talking. Democrats had us voting [for] Democrats with food stamps for years,” Yeezy said when asked about those who think he has turned his back on the black community.
“What are you talking about? Guns in the ’80s, taking the fathers out the home, Plan B, lowering our votes, making us abort our children … Thou shall not kill,” he continued.

The hip-hop star appeared to confuse Plan B, the morning-after pill emergency contraception, with abortions that end existing pregnancies.
When pressed about his support for the president, he said: “I’d rather deal with somebody who call me the n-word to my face than a person that signed me for a lifetime deal on a 255-page contract. I’d rather know what I’m dealing with.”
Big Boy asked West whether he has considered that his support for Trump could be viewed as a tacit endorsement of racism.
“The most racist thing a person can tell me is that I’m supposed to choose something based on my race,” he responded.
“I’m not telling nobody not to vote Democrat,” he said, adding bizarrely: “I love Obama, I love lemonade, I love Wingstop, I love Polos, I love Jordans.”

And when asked if he feared losing his audience, West insisted that he is “only afraid of God.”
“I’m only afraid of my daddy, God. I done been 15 years. I’m telling you that God is showing you that you can have your own thoughts, bro. I been canceled before,” he continued.
During the wide-ranging interview, West also revealed that he has no plans to ever perform his old songs live again — though he did say that, “We can play that beat, but I’m going to adjust [the lyrics.]”
He added: “They made movies about Steve Jobs so y’all could understand who I am.
“Now, when you go to the Apple store, I don’t be seeing no iPod 4 . . . Take you to eBay and get you the old Kanye and get you a vintage iPod 4 while you’re at it, a Sega 8-bit.”

I’m sure it’s not easy being with Yeezy. I’d love to know what Kim is thinking about all this.

Kanye West claims social media makes married men 'suffer like Jesus' by tormenting them with women's saucy photos (despite his wife Kim Kardashian's love of racy snaps)

Kanye West claims he suffers 'like Jesus' as a result of social media, accusing the apps of fueling sex addiction and tormenting married men.
The rapper, 42, took aim at women - like his wife Kim Kardashian - who use the platforms to share racy snaps, suggesting these are images that they 'wouldn't have put out' if the apps didn't exist.

The self-confessed sex addict said he used to have pay someone to buy pornography on his behalf when he was younger to see the sort of images he now witnesses on social media.
Speaking in an interview on Beats 1 on Apple Music, the 'Christian innovator' branded the apps the 'modern day cigarettes' for their addictive qualities.

Kanye has proclaimed that he's a born-again Christian, and is currently promoting a new album called Jesus Is King (and a film by the same name), both of which are heavy with religious messages.
But while he's been called blasphemous for comparing himself to God and Jesus in the past — see his song I Am a God on the 2013 album Yeezus — Kanye is continuing to draw parallels between himself and a greater power.
'I suffer - and I appreciate the suffering because we can just feel a little bit of what Jesus felt when we suffer, but social media makes me suffer,' he said in the new interview.
'I suffer from that and by me saying this out loud, I'm sure there's other married men that suffer in a similar way that are happy to hear me say, "Oh ya, I'm suffering."'
Asked why this relates in particular to married men, Kanye explained: 'Because social media prompts women in particular to put out content that they wouldn't have put out...'

Pictured: Kanye's wife Kim in a sexy selfie

Zane Lowe then questioned whether the recording artist was referring to his sex addiction, to which he responded: 'Yeah... I deal with my addiction.

'When I was younger and I wanted to see something like that I had to pay someone that was older to go to 7/11 and buy it.'
Kanye said his addiction to watching porn began when he found a Playboy magazine at the age of five and it's 'affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life'.
The remarks jar somewhat with the fact that his wife Kim, who has 150 million Instagram followers, frequently shares sexy, suggestive snaps on her page.
But Kanye has turned his newfound religious fervor on his wife as well, urging her to meet his newly-adopted ideas about modesty.
In an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that first aired on October 13, he criticized the revealing, figure-hugging Mugler gown Kim wore to the Met Gala earlier this year.

'I didn't realize that that was affecting like my soul and my spirit,' he went on, adding that he wasn't OK with Kim wearing revealing clothing.
'You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy,' he told her.
'A corset is like a form of underwear. It's hot. It's like, it's hot for who, though?' he said.
Kim fired back in the episode, telling Kanye he was giving her 'really bad anxiety' and putting out 'negative energy,' especially because he raised the issue the night before the Met Gala.
'You built me up to be a sexy person and have confidence! Just because you're on a journey and you're in a transformation, doesn't mean I'm in the same spot with you,' she said.

Kanye's ideas about modesty for women also apply to his children, or at least the his daughters North, six, and Chicago, 21 months.
He and Kim also share sons Saint, three, and Psalm, five months.
Kim told E! News this month that even though North has begun playing with makeup, Kanye has now banned cosmetics until she's older.
'North is trying to get in on the makeup but she's being blocked heavily because her dad has stopped all makeup for her until she is a teenager,' she said. 'It's a big discussion, a big fight in the household right now but it is what's best.'
'I think as a parent you just learn and figure it out as you go and we realized we didn't really want her to wear makeup at a young age but she sees her mom putting on lipstick and lip gloss.'
Kanye himself said he also pulled crop tops off the table.
'A smart man has the ability to pivot to say I think something different now. I don’t think this because it’s the culture,' he said.
'I don’t think North should wear crop tops just because I had her wearing a slip dress when she was two years old.'

Kanye's new ideas about women's dress has drawn some criticism from fans, particularly those calling the rapper a hypocrite for encouraging Kim's sexy image for years.
He's even included Kim in his music videos in various states of undress — and before that, he cast other scantily-clad women like Teyana Taylor in his videos.

But not everyone is quick to condemn him. In fact, he seems to have found new fans in Christian fundamentalists Jinger Duggar, 25, and Jeremy Vuolo, 32, stars of TLC's Counting On.
The couple attended Kanye's Sunday Service this weekend, and afterward Jeremy shared a a favorable in-depth analysis of Kanye's religious awakening.
'I've been praying about it, and obviously praying for Kanye,' Jeremy said of Kanye's spiritual journey.

In the new Beats 1 interview, Kanye also praised Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, branding him his favorite founder.
Kanye called Dorsey 'incredibly smart, a visionary' and praised Dorsey's history as a founder, naming Twitter and Square.
'Jack Dorsey has created an app where someone can buy into that stock at a dollar,' West said about Dorsey's pilot stock-trading app that lets anyone invest in stock for a dollar.
The songwriter also said Dorsey was one of the first people who wanted to invest in him early on in his career.
He talked about the different visions between founders and investors, and his respect for founders.
'You've gotta honor living founders, those are the great great great great grandfathers of what's being built.
While discussing founders, West made it clear that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was not one of his favorites.

'I will always remember every meeting and interaction I've had with Jack Dorsey, and I will always remember my meetings and interactions with Mark Zuckerberg — and they've been completely different,' he said

'Now with his album dropping, it's interesting to listen to it... but it's also interesting to see a lot of the reactions. Some people [are] vehemently against it.
