Default R. Kelly under criminal investigation in Georgia following docuseries

    R. Kelly is reportedly the subject of a criminal investigation in Georgia thanks in part to “Surviving R. Kelly.”

The Fulton County district attorney is looking into the singer and a mansion he previously owned in Johns Creek, Ga., reports The Blast. Kelly’s former home is featured in the six-part Lifetime docuseries highlighting his alleged sexual misconduct with young girls.

Last July, Kelly penned a 19-minute song in response to the numerous allegations against him.

According to the website, investigators have already interviewed alleged victim Asante McGee, who is featured in “Surviving R. Kelly” walking through the property describing seeing women held against their will.

In 2018, McGee told BuzzFeed, “R. Kelly is the sweetest person you will ever want to meet. But Robert is the devil.”

The police have also contacted Joycelyn Savage and ordered her to come in for questioning. While Savage has claimed she was with Kelly of her own free will, her family and friends believe he has brainwashed her.

The Blast reports that one of the charges authorities are looking into is false imprisonment.

A rep for Kelly did not respond to a request for comment.

    this.
i wonder if they'll uncover enough evidence to file charges? i think after the trial he takes lots of measures to protect himself. a friend of a friend met him about 5 years ago, she's a make up artist and was hired to work on him and his crew for a series of events while they were in town. she said he's got these very young chicks with him who are all dressed alike, plus his handlers and security and it's all kind of creepy. his security would take my friend's phone and stuff before she was allowed to work on them and they were really careful about not being seen. she went to one dinner and it was in a private room in a restaurant and it was all very hush hush.

I've been sick with some flu or cold crap since Thursday. Watched the series on R. Kelly the one day I was able to get out of bed. Holy crap, how can people still believe him and look up to him? The fact he had his body guard reach out to some uber fan at his child porn trial after he was found not guilty is insane. She was 14 at the trial, but 16 when she came to his house. The fact that his songs are being bought online after this show just blows my mind. Oh, and that facebook page his people put up to discredit one of the girls, which was put down in an hour. WTF. Guy is a controlling pedo fuck.

We've been reading about this monster for what? 12, 14 years now? How come this is just now coming to light? And I'm pissed that I can't watch it yet because we are strictly on internet tv (Pluto, Hulu, Netflix) and none of those damn things have Lifetime on them. I'm not about to pay $1.99 on Vudu, either.
I hate this prick and I think it's a travesty that this has taken so long to happen. I hope they nail his ass to the bottom of the deepest, darkest prison.

Exactly what I was thinking. It took a "docuseries" to get the attention of the authorities? Disgusting.

I had this on my DVR then deleted it because I decided I didn't want to devote 6 hours to this asshole.

I don't know if it's on Hulu's basic plan but I watched it last weekend on Hulu live. I've had Hulu basic in the past and still had access to Lifetime stuff (it was how I watched the Britney Spears movie, lol). Has something changed?

At any rate, I didn't watch all the episodes but I do hope something comes out of it. He's a monster. He, everyone who has been protecting him and all those in power who are just like him need to be brought down.

I'm not going to be relieved unless he gets jailtime.

I can't decide if I should watch the docuseries or not. Just the article I saw about him having sex with Aaliyah on the bus gave me high blood pressure, so I don't know if I could handle six hours about what a serial abuser he is.

I remember in high school, people were talking about R Kelly and Aaliyah being married. I think she was 14 or 15 then.

I think some of this has to be credited to the #metoo movement. More and more previously untouchable predators are starting to tumble after years and years of openly abusing others. The fear of fame is still there but it has been weakened with every case.

But Gaga, who is so vocal about abuse victims is hypocritically silent after showering him with support in the past. I think this might end up hurting her in the Oscar race.
