Benedict Cumberbatch and Wife Sophie Hunter Expecting Baby No. 3

There's a baby on the way for Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter!

The couple is expecting their third child together, E! News has learned. During Monday evening's 2018 Emmys in Los Angeles, the 40-year-old theatre and opera director debuted a small but growing baby bump as she arrived to television's biggest event alongside her husband of three years.

Sophie lit up the 70th Annual Emmy Awards' gold carpet in a bright yellow gown. The British beauty and her famous beau, who kept it simple in a classic suit, coordinated with stylish sunglasses as they posed for photographs.

Benedict and Sophie's wonderful news comes just over a year after they welcomed a baby boy named Hal Auden Cumberbatch. In 2015, Hunter gave birth to son Christopher "Kit" Carlton just months after she and Cumberbatch tied the knot on Valentine's Day that year.

As for tonight's festivities, Benedict is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his performance in Showtime's Patrick Melrose.

I'm a fan of his but dude always had issues. In interviews he made no secret of wanting a broodmare. He would say stuff like he was devastated he didn't have x amount of kids before he was 40 and it was the biggest failure of his life. So it was no surprise he rushed into a relationship with a chick who likes like him and is trying to pop them out quick.

I feel sorry for her because she always looks so unhappy in photos. Meanwhile celebitchy makes fun of Benedict's struggle to compliment her in interviews and there's been a ton of blinds about him cheating. I have a friend in theater in London who saw him at an event a couple of years ago, right after he got hitched, and she said he was definitely not acting married. Reminds me of Ewan Macgregor and his missus, the male star gets to dog around the civilian wife gets stuck barefoot and pregnant.

^^^ Given that she is also in the industry I doubt she has any illusions.
Also, what is “acting married”? And why wasn’t he doing it?
Theatre folk are very demonstrative so unless he had his tongue stuck down someone’s throat I’m not particularly convinced. Mind, I don’t particularly care either.

I said this is the fashion thread!! Go me!
    congratulations to them.

meh. it's no worse, or different, than the women who are desperate to get married and have kids before their ovaries dry up and don't even really give a shit who they marry as long as they have money to support them and their dreams of being a suburban housewife. my friend whose wedding i went to a couple of years ago fits this description. and i love my friend but she's never been in love with her husband, ever, and married the first guy she could steamroll into proposing, about a year after they started dating. she got pregnant on their honeymoon and is currently pregnant with number 2 even though her first son just turned one. if her husband started cheating, there is no way she'd leave him, not unless she's got a richer replacement already lined up.

Baby rabies absolutely isn't the exclusive domain of women and to think otherwise is buying into the ridiculous stereotype that every woman is ultimately out to 'trap' a man with her womb. We hear endless tales of women who secretly stop talking the pill to get pregnant, but what about the guys who sabotage/slip off condoms mid sex or do even more devious shit like blasting their partner's pills in the microwave to reduce the effectiveness? (Yes, apparently that is actually a thing).

Exactly, I've had male friends who felt like "failures" because they were 25 and still not married with a baby on the way.
In some parts of France there is still high social pressure to fit in "the family lifestyle" at a very young age and it's not just women wanting babies, it's also men wanting to fit in that lifestyle.
That was just scary to me (not because people wanted kids, but because they didn't actually seem to question whether or not they really wanted them, or if it was just about living up to social expectations. Well, other topic)

But I do remember a guy saying he was considering picking his condoms with a needle because then and I quote "she'll have no choice but to marry me"
    (I'm still horrified)

With the sunglasses their resemblance is even more prominent and it's FREAKING ME THE FUCK OUT. How do their kids look, anyone got pics? Are they as long faced as mum and dad?
