Default Charlotte Rae Dead at 92

Sad news to report: Charlotte Rae, best known as Edna Garrett in the hit 1980s NBC sitcom "The Facts of Life" and who announced last year she had bone cancer, died Sunday a 92 according to her representative.

I always liked her in things. She grew up to be a good looking old lady. RIP Mrs. Garrett.

Yesterday. I was reading about the Facts of Life reboot yesterday and thought I hope Mrs. Garrett is OK.

Rest in peace, Mrs. G. Edna's Edibles will live on in my heart...

Aw. I always loved her as the fun woman at the boring deb party that dances on the table with Treat Williams in Hair. She was adorable in that.

Does this make Todd Bridges the last surving regular cast member of Different Strokes?

Awww, Mrs. Garrett. I was always sad that she faded from view after The Facts of Life.

Aww, I liked her. I remember in the 80’s, she played a witch with pink hair in The Worst Witch, and thought it was odd to see Miss Garrett play a meanie.

I thought the pop singer that sung that Call Me Baby song had died when I read the thread title.

    Wrong sitcom.

You're thinking of the one with Kirk Cameron, unless he was in this one too.

I was thinking the same thing too. I know Arnold’s bestie Dudley is still around oh and Janet Jackson too but they played supporting roles. All the leads are now gone except Willis

RIP Charlotte Rae. You gave Dumbledore a run for his money. Long before Hogwarts, as a kid I dreamed of going to Miss Cackle's Academy for Witches. You were charming and gave two fantastic performances in a very silly little movie. Thank you.
