Look at the little Queen in her purple!
She looks adorable.
You girls better not even think about being too modern!
But watch me flaunt this purple and a crazy hat.
What I imagine Liz thoughts to be: When you are 90 yrs old and a Queen you can be a bitch, too. In the mean time, sit down.
^^^^ I've read a few times that QEII wears bright clothing to be more visible to her security detail. I think she likes it anyway.
Oh I think even if Charles did his best to establish or maintain some sort of protocol they'd run roughshod over him and do whatever the fuck they want.
Then we will miss the Queen's stability.
This makes good practical sense. And I think that gives her permission to enjoy this.
For the zillioneth time, the British royals are not Hollywood and they wear bright, functional clothes and sometimes show off their country's fashion houses (or pay a compliment to their hosts) and sometimes wear high street to show that they are not frivolous. If you want fashion, look to the Grimaldis.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 36, who is eight months' pregnant, looked glowing as she opened the new HQ of charity Place2Be in London today
Good for her but she can stop now. I doubt anyone (even the most anti-Kate) would mind.
I like this dress, but it feels SO familiar. She must have worn something almost identical to it at some point??
She looks very comfy and cute. I'm still amazed she's doing so many royal engagements a little over a month before she's due.
She's eight months along? That was the size of my belly with my son at five months. :eek3:
I want that “It Should Have Been Me” souvenir sweatshirt that they’re selling!
Ohhhh, do I see the first whisper of puffy ankles?
She finally seems to have acquired a work ethic but she's made her point and can ease off a bit now I think.
