Exactly. Why fuck it up when you've still got a youthful and wrinkle-free one?

Queen Maxima is a star. I think they actually love each other too!
^^^I'm just so glad not to see him picking his nose.
I do love how both of them are ALWAYS at speed skating, they love it. They do seem genuinely happy together.

Born Henri Marie Jean Andre de Laborde de Monpezat on June 11, 1934 in Talence, near Bordeaux, the future Danish prince spent much of his youth in Vietnam, then a part of Indo-China, where his father was a businessman.
After finishing secondary school, he studied Vietnamese and Chinese, law and political science in Paris, before completing his French military service with the infantry in Algeria from 1959 to 1962.
He went on to become a diplomat, and met Margrethe — who was then crown princess — while he was stationed in London.
Upon marrying her, he changed his name to Henrik, converted from Catholicism to Protestantism and renounced his French citizenship to become a Dane.
By the time Margrethe acceded to the throne in 1972, the couple had two young children: Prince Frederik, born in 1968, and Joakim, born in 1969.
Prince Henrik dead at 83, Mary and Frederik devastated
He was quite the character.
Wow, that was quick. I knew he wasn't well but even so. He had dementia but also a brain tumour which is what got him in the end. RIP.
Fred will now have to step up and support his mother more in her royal duties. She's a tough old chook but will need backup.
I love how he's "Princess Mary's father-in-law" and not Crown Prince Frederik's father or Queen Margrethe's husband. So I guess that makes Betty Glucksberg "Kate and Meghan's nana-in-law".
It was a benign lung tumor that they removed last week. Complications from the surgery I guess.
Sad. A very unique marriage they had. She turned a blind eye to his affairs with men. Allegedly.
At least he was with his family at the end. I wonder now if Margrethe will abdicate?
That's an awesome pic of Mary.
Monarchs don't generally abdicate just because they're widowed. Queen Daisy (her family nickname) will soldier on I'm sure.
Meanwhile in the UK there are rumblings about Ms Markle and her agenda. Dear dumb Harry is snatchmatised and can't see how he's being played by an ambitious little minx with a skincare range to sell. His family is becoming very uneasy but Harry always gets what he wants - his mother died you know - so start making the popcorn.
I had not heard he rumors of the gay affairs. They certainly seemed to be in love, which makes a refreshing change in a royal marriage. I don't think Daisy will abdicate. There have been rumors for many years about Fred's drinking/ingesting whatever substance, which many photos seem to bear out.
