Default John Stamos arrested for DUI

Uncle Jesse was arrested last night.

This is not the kind of publicity you want when you have two new TV shows on the way.

John Stamos, soon to return to the small screen in Fox's Grandfathered and Netflix's Fuller House was arrested on suspicion of DUI Friday in Beverly Hills, police confirmed to USA TODAY.

Responding to several calls about erratic driving, police stopped Stamos around 7:45 p.m. PT. He was driving alone. They were concerned he might have an underlying medical condition so they escorted him to a local hospital for testing. He was placed under arrest for being under the influence and released to the hospital's care.

Given that they were concerned enough to take him to the hospital, I'm hoping it was not DUI; I don't hope he's seriously ill either, but I like him too much to want to believe he would drive drunk

Is this going to affect the production of "Fuller House"?

Edit: After reading the story I'm confused. They thought he had an underlying condition so they arrested him and had him tested? What's the legal basis for that? Did they even see him driving erratically or is the erratic driving claim based on hearsay from other motorists? When they stopped him, did they believe he was DUI? Based on what? Why am I asking so many questions? Where is sluce to tell me to stop overthinking this??

LOL - sorry but I am overthinking it too. I called in an erratic driver a few years ago. The Radnor cops pulled the car over as she was about to pull out on to Lancaster Ave based on my report. They did the roadside test and she was drunk but they called to ask if I would testify because they had no case without me. There is too much missing from this report.

Wait, if she failed the roadside test, why did they have no case without your testimony?

They had not witnessed her driving erratically, so legally the only cause they had to pull her over was my testimony. I told them she had turned on to a road but I was not turning and following her. They made a decision to pull her over, rather than risk letting her pull on to a busy 4 lane road, but they had not witnessed anything that gave them probable cause to suspect she was drunk. I had to go to court and testify. Her adult children were there and thanked me because they had been trying for years to get her into rehab or at least off the road.

John Stamos Tweets Thanks to Police & Fans -- See Pics From the Arrest
    ETonline Gina Vivinetto ‎June‎ ‎13‎, ‎2015

Actor John Stamos is now back at home following his arrest on suspicion of DUI and a subsequent hospitalization in Beverly Hills on Friday.

The Full House star thanked his fans for their "love and support" on Twitter, letting them know he was "home & well," as well as the Beverly Hills Police Department and Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Stamos was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at approximately 7:45 p.m. PT on Friday evening after police received numerous calls reporting a possible DUI driver.

The Beverly Hills Police Department reported that they then transported Stamos, who was driving alone, to a local hospital for observation due to a "possible medical condition."

Stamos will appear in court regarding the incident on Sept. 11.

The actor has been in the news recently promoting Fuller House, the 13-episode Netflix reboot of his famous series, which aired from 1987 until 1995 on ABC.

We can only hope. That show was insufferable enough the first time around.

My now dead grandmothers 90+ year old boyfriend drove drunk daily. Drunk as a skunk driving. He got away with it because it was always written off as bad driving due to his age or potential meds. No, it was his 8:00 a.m. bloody mary and continual drinking throughout the day and evening. When he finally died I thought it was a good day for the local roads.

I watch Full House every night and I will watch Fuller House too. Full House is one of my favorite shows. I love it because of its horrificness.

Unfortunately, this post isn't a joke. I really wish it was though.
