    Actress Dies at 62




    Mary Ellen Trainor, best known for her role as the psychologist in the “Lethal Weapon” films, died from pancreatic cancer at her home in Montecito, Calif. last month. She was 62.

    Trainor was married to director Robert Zemeckis for 20 years and appeared in several of his films … including “Romancing the Stone” and “Forrest Gump.” They divorced in 2000.

    Her other notable roles were as Mrs. Walsh in “The Goonies,” as well as small roles in “Scrooged,” “Die Hard," "Back to the Future Part II" and "Ghostbusters II." She also had a recurring role on the TV show "Roswell."

    Rest In Peace Mary.

    i remember seeing Mary in so many movies (manly action) in the 1980's.

    She was instantly recognizable and so stunning.

    My thoughts are with her family and friends.

    I recall her as the sister who was abducted in "Romancing the Stone". As I recall the different roles she had she was convincing and understated. (I never saw Goonies. Should I remedy that?)

    I remember her best from Romancing the Stone. Very sad. She was too young. RIP
