Default Shonda Rhimes Slams Lady Gaga's Sound of Music Tribute at Oscars 2015

What a bitch. What she says here is pretty much the same way I feel about her shows.

Shonda Rhimes Slams Lady Gaga's Sound of Music Tribute at Oscars 2015: "Dear God, Julie Had to Hear That"
    Us Weekly 8 hours ago

It’s a common view that noted TV producer, beloved show creator, and outspoken activist Shonda Rhimes can do no wrong. After all, this is the woman who created Scandal’s Olivia Pope and the main reason we drink wine and stay in on Thursday nights. But on Sunday, Feb. 22, Rhimes, 45, voiced a very contrary opinion on Twitter during the 2015 Oscars.

“That was not okay,” she wrote following Lady Gaga’s Sound of Music medley tribute. “I mean, Idina [Menzel] is there. She is right there. RIGHT THERE. And oh dear God, Julie [Andrews] had to hear that. #Oscars2015.”

The “Applause” singer’s unexpected and praised performance actually brought tears to the 1965 film’s star Julie Andrews, 79, who hugged Lady Gaga, 28, and raved about her rendition of the musical’s iconic songs.

On Monday, Feb. 23, a fan responded to Rhimes’ criticism, writing, “@shondarhimes wow, missing the point. The unexpected Gaga made the moment.” The #TGIT producer replied, “I probably did miss the point. Everyone else loved it. That’s okay.”

Whatever. I'm definitely no fan but she sung it beautifully, I think she outdid herself. Also, the first time I've ever thought she was attractive. As an aside, I do NOT believe she's 28. I'd be adding a 10 to that.

Dear Shonda: Shut up and go and give Chandra Wilson something to do with Miranda Bailey on Greys if you want better entertainment in the world. Thank you very much!

    Power corrupts.

I thought Gaga was wonderful, and far from being upset, JA looked thrilled and very touched. I wouldn't be surprised if she was part of the decision-making process.

I was surprised and impressed too. Gaga can actually sing! She isn't yet another autotunebot.

I can't stand gaga, but she did a great job. Rhimes is out of line.

Bloke on Monday morning after seeing a clip on breakfast news: "I didn't know she could sing like that. I thought she was wore daft clothes for publicity"

Personally speaking I'm no fan of Gaga either and have also felt for a long time that her meat dresses etc would detract from her music but I have to admit that she did the Sound of Music medley justice.

Gags did a great job. Idina Menzel may have a great voice but I can't stand her, she's insufferable and that Let it Go piece of shit is a crime against humanity.

I thought Gaga did a tremendous job. It was a lovely tribute. I was impressed and surprised. Had no idea she could sing like that. Shonda needs to STFU.

I'm surprised by some of the comments. Gaga has always sung very well. It's just that she did all this weird/outlandish costume shit and people noticed it more than her actual singing capability.

When I think of the tone of Adel Dazeem's voice, it wouldn't have been right for the songs, IMO. Lady Gaga was perfect for it, who woulda thunk?
