    Congratulations are in order for Vanessa and Nick Lachey.The singer-TV host, 40, and his model-actress wife, 33, are expecting their second child – a daughter – Nick announced via Twitter Tuesday.
    “Can’t think of a better way to celebrate 3 years of marriage to my beautiful Vanessa than this,” the proud papa captioned the photo of their son Camden, 22 months, running on the beach around a heart in the sand that reads, “It’s a girl.”Last year, Nick opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about his hopes to have a daughter.“I think it would be a lot of fun to have a daughter one day, but either way, fatherhood is great, regardless of the gender,” the 98 Degrees crooner said.

    Nick and Vanessa Lachey welcome second child

    Nick Lachey just doubled his parenting duties.

    The singer turned host and wife Vanessa welcomed their second child, and first daughter, on Monday, according to the happy mother’s website.

    “She’s HERE!!!! Nick, Camden and I are SO excited to announce the birth of our sweet, beautiful baby girl, Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey!” Vanessa wrote.

    The couple’s first child, son Camden John, was born in September 2012.

    Vanessa seemed particularly pleased that the latest addition to the Lachey family was a girl.

    “I have been dreaming of this moment for as long as I can remember, the day I was going to meet my little girl,” she wrote. “A friend recently told me how magical today was going to be because it’s the day I would meet my best friend.”

    Nick and Vanessa started dating after his marriage to Jessica Simpson — who, in November, he said he was glad he never had children with — ended. The couple tied the knot in 2011.
