EXCLUSIVE: David Cassidy Files Eviction Lawsuit -- GET OUT OF MY HOME!

David Cassidy wants to exterminate his Florida home, but he's not on the hunt for bugs ... he wants his alleged deadbeat tenants out.David and his wife filed an eviction lawsuit against a Nick and Anne Economos ... who currently lease the Cassidy's sunny Fort Lauderdale home. The Cassidys claim Nick and Anne stopped paying rent in August and haven't paid a dime since. Cassidy says back rent totals $10k as of the end of September and they've had it.The Economoses defense is interesting. They claim they struck a deal with the lender that holds the mortgage to the property and that agreement provides they don't have to pay rent. The Cassidys aren't buying it for a second and they want their dough and an empty house ... stat.

Even if the tenants somehow tracked down and contacted the mortgage lender around the property owners' backs (yeah, right) there is still the property taxes and council rates to be paid. You can't stop paying the rent you've agreed to in a lease! This is ridiculous.

He's an asshole because he doesn't want people freeloading off of him? I'd throw them out, too.

I'd say a bank would never work out a financial agreement of any sort with the person not the mortgage holder, especially without the mortgage holder's consent or knowledge.

David Cassidy sells sumptuous Florida home for a knockdown $3.9 million as he and wife prepare for divorce

    By DAILY MAIL REPORTER
    PUBLISHED: 18:31, 4 April 2014 | UPDATED: 18:31, 4 April 2014

David Cassidy and his wife Sue have slashed the price of their lavish Florida estate as they prepare to divorce after 23 years of marriage.
Sue filed for divorce just weeks after the 63-year-old actor was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol for the third time last month.
The former Partridge Family star is currently believed to be in rehab.

And now the couple have cut the price of their Fort Lauderdale mansion from $4.495 million to $3.9 million after first putting it up for sale last August, according to Zillow.

The house is up for sale just 18 months after the former Partridge Family singer was forced to turn over his $1.35 million Los Olas area condo instead of losing the unit to foreclosure.
The 7,000-square-foot home is in a gated compound and offers privacy and all the amenities of a resort. There are five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, hardwood floors and a private balcony.

Beach and marina rights are available. Although it retains its somewhat 1980s-style, the home can be bought with all its furnishings.
The Harbor Beach residence was remodeled in 2006, and subsequently rented out until Cassidy was forced to take legal action against his tenants for what he claimed was non-payment of rent.
Speaking about her decision to file for divorce, Sue Cassidy told TMZ.com: 'I'm glad David is getting the help he needs and I am confident he will come back better and stronger than ever.'

The website also quotes Sue as saying that the divorce had been coming for a while, adding: 'This has been looming for some time.
'I am truly heartbroken that our marriage is ending.'
A spokesperson for David added to MailOnline: 'It is very sad that Sue chose to take this approach. I have tried to resolve this amicably outside of the public eye.

'I have reached out to her with no response over the last 3 months. It’s a sad day for me and for our son Beau.'

According to TMZ, the couple, who have been together for 28 years and are parents to 23-year-old son Beau, have been living separately for the past four months.

Last month, David was charged with one count of DUI after he was found to be more
than twice the legal limit when he was stopped by police in Los Angeles in January.

According to reports, David is now facing a potential year in jail due to his prior convictions, and will serve a minimum of 96 hours behind bars if he is convicted.

His manager previously came out to say his client was driven to alcohol due to an ongoing dispute over Partridge Family profits.
Jo-Ann Geffen has claimed her client had just undergone treatment for his drink problem, but the stress of stern questioning by lawyers had caused him to fall off the wagon.
She said: 'David just completed a stint in rehab and was doing very well in sobriety.
'He was in Los Angeles to attend depositions by Sony Pictures Television, respondents in a lawsuit filed by Cassidy in 2011 over what he claims are monies long due him from Partridge Family merchandise, home video, etc.
'After attending his and his manager's depositions, it appears as if the pressure led to a brief relapse.'

She added he was on his way to the Los Angeles airport 'to return to his home in Florida and to transitional rehabilitation' when he was stopped by a California Highway Patrol officer.
The Seventies heartthrob was stopped by police in Los Angeles after he was spotted making an illegal right turn when exiting the 405 freeway.
It is claimed that when an officer smelled alcohol he was asked to take a field sobriety test, which subsequently showed he was more than twice the legal limit.
After blowing a .19 on the test he was booked for DUI and released hours later on $15,000 bail. The legal limit in California is 0.08 per cent.

Trouble: The Harbor Beach residence was remodeled in 2006, and subsequently rented out until David Cassidy was forced to take legal action against his tenants for what he claimed was non-payment of rent.

His arrest came just months after a similar incident occurred in Albany, New York.
Cassidy was stopped for driving with his full lights on and failed a sobriety test administered by the officer.
And in 2011 he was banned from driving for six months after pleading 'no contest' to drink driving.
The actor – whose daughter is Arrow star Katie Cassidy - was sentenced to a year's probation and ordered to complete 50 hours of community service by a Florida court.
The charges stemmed from his arrest in St Lucie, Florida on November 3, 2010, when his car was spotted weaving across the motorway.

Caught on camera: A video was released after David's 2010 arrest for DUI in Florida

As is standard for suspected drunk drivers he was asked to take a roadside test, and was found to be almost twice the legal limit with a blood alcohol reading of 0.141. The legal limit in Florida is 0.08 per cent.
He was also ordered to pay $500 in fines, complete an alcohol education class and attend a DUI 'victim impact panel', which requires him to meet people affected by drinking driving incidents.
Following his arrest, police released roadside footage of the incident, showing the singer attempting and failing to follow orders as part of a roadside sobriety test.

The arresting officer could be heard growing increasingly frustrated with the star as he failed to carry out his instructions.
He was then asked to put his hands behind his back where they are handcuffed.
A half empty bottle of bourbon was found under one of the seats of his white Mercedes car. He claimed he had a single glass of wine and had taken the drug hydrocone, a painkille

For something that was remodeled in 2006 it looks remarkably stuck in the 1970's.
