Eddie Griffin's Homophobic FB Rant After TMZ Story

Eddie Griffin responded the only way he knew how when a woman threw a drink at him during his own stand-up show ... he threw one back ... and it was all caught on video.

Police in Pleasanton, CA tell TMZ they were called to Tommy T's Comedy Club on Friday night after a fight broke out when a woman became so offended at Griffin's act ... she threw a drink at him while he was on stage.

The video obtained by TMZ begins after the woman threw the drink and Griffin can be seen retaliating, pouring his bottle of water on her and then tossing it at her.

Security had the woman removed from the venue and the club closed down for the night after the fracas.

The club did not want anyone arrested and the woman was gone by the time police got there.

Why oh why would you go if you knew you would get offended? You only have to watch one of his stand up shows to know anyone is fair game!

And that's not homophobic? He is calling her ugly and un-womanly, but anyone can fall under that description... yes?

But I love how fools don't know to at least FAKE being civil on such a public platform as his own FB. Whoa whoa whoa. Hold your LeAnn's. I agree with the first part of what you said- don't go to a raunchy comedy show if you are easily offended. However, the D word as far as most people is concerned is absolutely a homophobic remark.
I mean, this was a comedy act and I don't know how he used the word, if it was hate-filled like Mel Gibson's rant a while back, or if it was part of his act and not meant to be intentionally hurtful. That's neither nor there. My issue now is that you ma'am think that you can go around calling people "dyke?" That's not cool...

If you heckle a comic or interrupt their show, you get what you deserve. What do you expect when you go to a comedy show? It's almost as if some people go to shows hoping to get offended so they'll have something to complain about.

I think is doing a show with 80's old school folks. Lisa Lisa, Doug E. Fresh, MC Lyte, and a bunch of other folks. I've been hearing it advertised on the radio here in Philly. I was half listening, but I think I heard his name.
