    Default Miranda Kerr didn't want a 'drugged-up' baby‎

Miranda Kerr has revealed that she was determined to have a natural labour to avoid 'drugging-up' her baby.
The 29-year-old model, who gave birth to baby Flynn in January last year, made the decision to avoid having an epidural.
Miranda told Harper's Bazaar: "I had made a decision I wanted to do it naturally. So I was kind of upset when the doctor said I had to be induced because there wasn't enough liquid around the baby.
"She was like, 'most people who get induced have the epidural. I don't know anyone who hasn't'. And I'm like, 'I made a plan. I am determined to do this without pain medication'."
I wanted to give him the best possible start in life I could."
Miranda added that in a few films she's watched "the baby was a little bit drugged-up", so she decided: "Well, I don't want that".
Her controversial comments suggest the anaesthesia could have a lasting effect on a child, which will no doubt anger mothers who chose to have the treatment.
Australian beauty Miranda, who's married to actor Orlando Bloom, 35, is totally smitten with her adorable little boy.
"What's surprised me most is just how incredible the bond is between you and your child. To watch him grow and evolve every day is really inspiring.
"To wake up to the sound of my son saying 'Mama, mama!' It's the best sound ever. Then I just love to get him out of bed and he can jump into bed with us, and we have cuddle time."

Oh, yes. Another perfect mommy. I'm not an expert, but I don't think the epidural has any effect on the on the baby at all.

If she had to be induced, I wonder if she's concerned with the baby being forced out of the womb??? Poor dear :roll eyes:

BTW - I took all the drugs they offered and was induced and still ended up in a c-section. My poor kid.

    Oh lordy no.......

I had no pain relief at ALL with the first and she has serious learning issues, etc. Want to know what I blame?? THE FUCKING VACUUM they used to pull her out. Am I right? Dunno. But I'd take drugs over the vaccuum anyday. There is no RIGHT OR WRONG. Goddammit.

I had an epidural and a C-section. Her comments don't anger me. She's just your typical new mom who thinks her way is best. More power to her. The epidural didn't seem to hurt mine. But the lack of oxygen to his brain that would have resulted if I'd attempted to continue trying to make a go of it "naturally" with the issues I had would have probably have given me a special needs baby (if not a stillborn) instead of the genius that he is, so no regrets here.

But women who do this "well that's what other women may do, but I didn't want that for my baby" always come across as obnoxious and smug. Maybe she should consider that before opening her trap.

    I hate broads like this.

Give her a fucking medal. Why else is she talking about this unless she wants praise of some sort? People have kids without drugs, they have kids with drugs. Who gives a shit as long as everyone comes out the other side alive.

She's got a long way to go to reach the smug level of Jizzhell.

Yeah, she doesn't sound nearly and smug as Giselle.

Gosh, she should keep her job at just being "pretty" and not talk too much.

I chose not to have epidurals with either of my pregnancies and my doctor was extremely pleased about it since apparently that is not the norm. However, he told me that there is no solid proof that epidurals are dangerous for the baby. They don't enter into the bloodstream. It's the IV meds that cause babies to be sluggish. I wanted a natural birth because I wanted to feel everything. One of my friends had an epidural and said she couldn't even feel whether she was actually pushing. I wanted to avoid that.

I was induced with both sets of my twins so I am surprised her doctor had never heard of being induced and not having an epidural. I will say that per my doctor, induction can cause labor to be much more painful and that's why you normally have an epi when you et induced. When I was in labor and hit the transition stage both times I swear I could have uprooted a mighty Sequoia due to the pain. Transition induced or not induced is no joke and as I understand it's the point when many women beg for the epi. I don't blame them!!

Then a couple hours later she allows the baby to receive the Hep B vaccine and probably has no clue it contains aluminum and formaldehyde as if that's healthy for a newborn baby........
