Chevy Chase and television boss Don Harmon are thought to be in the middle of a bitter argument that could see the actor leave the hit show Community.
An audio recording of Chase spouting profanities aimed at the creator of the series has gone viral after the voicemail was played out in front of a room full of people.
The 68-year-old revealed he didn’t mind what he was about to say being shared with their colleagues after Harmon apparently humiliated him in front of his family.

'I don’t get talked to like that by anyone. Certainly not in front of my wife and daughter you goddamn a******… fat s***.'

He added, 'I’ve got nothing to say to you except you can suck my c***. Is that clear?'
In the clip circulating the internet, Chevy labels his superior ‘fat’ and an ‘alcoholic’.
The telephone message is introduced in the meeting, identifying the voice as the actor who goes on to call him a ‘stinko’ and an ‘abombination’ much to the group’s amusement.

Chase then prompts suspicion he may quit the show when he goes on to criticise Harmon’s livelihood by saying: ‘Your writing is getting worse and worse.’
Deadline reports that he allegedly walked off the set on the final day of shooting last month without filming vital scenes.
The incident led to Don giving a speech at the wrap party where he encouraged staff to yell 'f*** you' after the star, which is mentioned in the recording.

Harmon and Chase are said to be ‘passionate’ and ‘volatile’ and it is not known if the Chevy will be back for the fourth season of the NBC program, which has Joel McHale in the lead role.

If their working relationship does come to an end it will be a shame as it is the network’s second highest rating comedy series to The Office.
The spat is reminiscent of former Two and a Half Men star, Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre who notoriously aired their problems with one another in public before Sheen was eventually replaced by Ashton Kutcher on the show.
Christian Bale also delivered an expletive-laden rant to a crew member who accidentally walk through a scene when filming the Terminator movie in 2009.

Chevy is 68? JesusChristinasidecar I'm getting old. Also--it's kind of a well-known fact that Chevy Chase is a total asshole. He was Charlie Sheen pissing off bosses before Charlie Sheen was born. Not that I disagree with him. He probably could've been a bit more tactful, but yeah...that'd be too easy. And totally not him.

Community rocks! Pierce Hawthorne makes every episode he's in painful, so I wouldn't be too upset if Chevy Chase left the show. He's brilliant, but the character is just too malevolent. He looks damn good for 68, especially in that first photo!
