Raquel Welch: 'We're all sex addicts'
    Last Updated: 11:07 AM, March 13, 2012

Raquel Welch, one of the premiere sex symbols of the 1960s, believes American culture has devolved to the point where "we're all sex addicts."

The star of "One Million Years B.C." spoke to Men's Health magazine this month, after clocking in at number two in the magazine's list of "The Hottest 100 Women Of All Time" last December. In her interview, Welch talks about sexuality, both in her heyday and today.

"I think weíve gotten to the point in our culture where weíre all sex addicts, literally," says Welch. "We have equated happiness in life with as many orgasms as you can possibly pack in, regardless of where it is that you deposit your love interest ... I donít care if Iím becoming one of those old fogies who says, 'Back in my day we didnít have to hear about sex all the time.'"

"Where is the anticipation and the personalization? Itís all pre-fab now. You have these images coming at you unannounced and unsolicited. It just gets to be so plastic and phony to me," says Welch. "My fantasies were all made up on my own. Theyíre ruining us with all the explanations and the graphicness. Nobody remembers what itís like to be left to form your own ideas about whatís erotic and sexual. Weíre not allowed any individuality. I thought that was the fun of the whole thing. Itís my fantasy. I didnít pick it off the Internet somewhere."

While Welch says that she is flattered to be atop Men's Health's "Hottest Women" list, bested only by Jennifer Aniston, she says that she doesn't completely buy the ranking.

"I donít really understand how I could be ahead of Marilyn Monroe. That just seems bizarre to me. I mean, you must have gotten tons of letters from people complaining," says Welch. "Sex appeal is such a subjective thing ... In my career Iíve met so many men who were supposed to be the sexiest men on the planet, and Iím standing right next to them, thinking, 'Hmm. Really?' And then thereís just the opposite. You meet people who are super- attractive in real life but itís never translated to the big screen. Itís just such a weird, subjective thing."

Well, she made a career out of her looks. But there is some truth in what she says. In her days sex was still more of a taboo.

^ Yeah not the best choice of words. I agree with her too. Everything is too over sexualized. It just becomes off-putting.

i have to agree a little bit but at the same time ive noticed that its more that whats expected you to like and be sexually not what really is good, i hate these slags that imitate porn and think thats it, ive seen some girls shag guys faking orgasms and thinking thats cool which is sad, but also its the same with guys, they watch porn and never really connect with the person.

ive noticed that the best sex ive had has been with a person that has had only long term girlfriends, so they have gotten the emotional side of things.

i guess im a romantic with a bad sense of humor, but yeah i think the world has forgotten with this sex advertising about the emotional and individual side, like that damn kim k porn tape, im sorry but i found it really hard to believe that she had an orgasm while gettin fucked from the back, is that even possible? i thought it was a urban legend that you can come from the back?

^ Only man can have an orgasm while being pounded in the back because there's the prostate that is very sensitive to touch and causes fast orgasm. But I don't remember women having prostate, well, I've seen it once on TV but that was a comedy TV series poking fun of uneducated women...

I didn't expect to agree with everything you said in a topic about sex, but I do! Ha.

On your side, caramel, totally. So sick of girls thinking they need to be porn stars and only caring about their man getting something from sex while they get next to nothing. It's just sad.

As for a woman coming from getting buttfucked... I guess if she was getting clitoral stimulation at the same time, sure, why not. Haven't seen the tape nor do I want to, though.

I love sex, but Raquel is right, some of what we see in entertainment is a bit too much.

The female orgasm mainly comes from the clitoris, so a woman having an orgasm getting "hit from the back" isn't likely. Ladies, regarding the G-Spot, isn't that pretty much the back of the clitoris? I don't have one, so I don't know.

She's got some good points, but when she uses the words "it's all plastic and phony..." the snarky bitch in me is thinking "like your face?" So yeah, poor word choice.

I think the g-spot might be a myth, really. From Wikipedia: The Gršfenberg Spot is typically located one to three inches (2.5 to 7.6 cm) up the front (anterior) vaginal wall between the vaginal opening and the urethra[3] and is a sensitive area that may be part of the female prostate.

But a lot of women don't seem to have one or have difficulty getting it to work.

From personal experience, I know it's not a myth. But it was a long time before I actually experienced the difference. A few times quite by accident. And only able to on a regular basis with my now hubby. But never when being pounded or diddled in the butt. I can see how it would easily elude a large chunk of women, but I think everyone should have the right equipment for this. But who knows? Maybe some women don't. I know it feels a whole lot like you are going to piss yourself when it happens. But it's not pee.

yeah ive heard stories about some girls gettin orgasmes without any clit stimulation, i cannot understand it, and theres some porn clips where allegedly girl has orgasmes with just from the back or anal, no clit rubbing, which to me is just weird,e i can understand that rubbing the wall of puss where kinda is the backside of a clit but i dont have that but some girls ive been with have been into that kind of hook type of fingering, none of them came with vaginal stimulation only.

this whole g spot thing must be a ploy from evil men to give them excuse for not workin hard on that clit while penetrating. im sick of this advertising good sex as in what man thinks and not really caring if a girl comes and then makin pressure of it that there must be something wrong with the girls vagina if she cant come or she is frigid if she likes normal sex.

i know i joke about weird sex stuff but really i personally think female orgasm is as important as a male one and for me its more satisfying to make a girl come than a man. i truly hate these stupid porn things that are there just make young people insecure, like nowdays you cant even come normally if its not like in a movie, wtf.
