He may have lost his fiance last week after Heather Locklear announced that their engagement was off.
But Melrose Place star Jack Wagner has gained a daughter - one that he never knew he had.
The 52-year-old was united with his long lost daughter Carrie just two weeks ago after she tracked him down.

The now 23-year-old was put up for adoption as a baby in 1988 by a unnamed woman whom Jack had had a fling with, according to TMZ.
The pretty brunette, who grew up in New York with her foster parents, tracked the actor down earlier this month with the help of a private detective.
It was at a concert in Boca Raton, Florida, where she approached him for the first time.

Jack, who is also a pop-rock singer, was there to perform with Rick Springfield and just seconds before he climbed on stage, Carrie approached him.
A source told the website that she told Jack the whole story right there and then.
Tearing up, the actor then embraced his daughter for the very first time.

Following his performance, Jack asked Carrie to attend another one of his shows.
During the second concert he invited her on stage and introduced her to the crowd as his daughter.
The pair were last night pictured together at a Tree Lighting ceremony at Universal Walk in Los Angeles.

There, the father and daughter duo cuddled up on the red-carpet.
They were also joined by Jack's other two sons Peter and Harrison for some happy snaps.
It is said that pair are now joined at the hip and are spending Thanksgiving tomorrow together, along with Wagner's two boys.

One person who won't be attending the celebration is his ex-fiance Heather.
The 50-year-old actress announced her split from Jack just last week.
She was then seen not wearing her engagement ring as she and daughter Ava attended the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 in Los Angeles.

The way they were: Jack once also proposed to Heather onscreen as they played lovers on Melrose Place
Her spokesperson confirmed the split to Us Weekly, saying: 'Jack and Heather are no longer engaged.'

The actor proposed to Heather in August of this year; they have only been engaged for three months.
They met in the 1990's after appearing as lovers Amanda Woodward and Dr. Peter Burns on the primetime soap opera Melrose Place.
Their relationship didn't turn romantic until 2007.
Prior to her romance with Wagner, the blonde bombshell was married to rockers Richie Sambora and Tommy Lee.
Ava, 14, is her daughter with Sambora, whom she was married to from 1994-2007.
Veteran soap star Wagner was also previously married to his General Hospital love interest Kristina Wagner; they divorced in 2006.
The split may be hard on Ava, who was ecstatic that her mother was remarrying.
'Ava was so excited when we told her,' Heather told People. 'She hugged Jack, said congratulations, and she immediately wanted to see the ring.'
'I want her to do what makes her happy,' added Ava. 'That's the main point.'

must be weird to find out your birth parent is someone you've seen on tv.

a guy my brother is friends with found out last year that his birth father is ted nugent.

I heard Ted Nugent talking about that on the Howard Stern show. That would be wild!!

I can't believe she dropped that on him before he went on stage at a concert. You'd think she could have found a more private time to have that chat with him.

I assume the boys are from his marriage to Kristina? I loved them together, on the show and in real life.

He is aging weird. Or has he had plastic surgery? That light hair seems to wash out his whole face. And he needs to realize he isn't in his 20's anymore and leave the skin tight clothes at home.

I have been involved with MANY reunions. I have never, ever, seen a father just accept he is the father and then introduce the child as theirs, when they never knew the child existed. He knew. It is also very unusual for an adoptee to make direct contact like that. Maybe she was just planning to sort of check him out and her emotions got the best of her. I am glad she has been welcomed.

I hate that they refer to her foster parents. She was adopted so they are her adoptive parents.

For fans only....
Jack and Kristina fell in love on the set of GH when they were in their early 20's. They went back and forth, breaking up and getting back together. I don't know what the timeline was but Jack really could not keep his pants zipped despite being in love with Kristina. Every fan knew he slept around but we oh so wanted them to be together on the show and real life. They had their first son (the cute one) in 1990 I think after being exclusive for a couple of years. I think when he went to the Santa Barbara show he stepped out with one of the actresses during one of their separations.

They married in 1993 and had their second son in 1994. They probably officially separated in the early 2000's but didn't divorce till 2006. They had one or two reconciliations in there.
