Leighton Meester Is Suing Her Own Mother




Professional Minka Kelly impersonator (or is it the other way around?) Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl is making Christmas dinner all sorts of awkward by throwing a lawsuit at the woman who gave birth to her in prison. Leighton is suing her mother for shaking her shit down. TMZ reports that Leighton was giving her mother $7,500 a month, but the money was supposed to go to the care of her sick younger brother. Well, Leighton's mother would've paid the balance on those medical bills, but she sort of used up all the money on plastic surgery and hair weaves instead. Oops.

Leighton's mother Constance refused to get a job, but she felt bad for her brother so she kept sending money. Once Leighton learned that the cash was going to keep Constance's face plastic fresh, she closed her wallet to her mother. That's when Constance's prison days came in to play and she tried to convince Leighton that they had made a verbal agreement and her daughter was supposed to send her $10,000 a month. Constance never pulled out a shank made from a toothbrush, but she did pull out a threat. Constance threatened to sue Leighton for $3 million if she didn't get her monthly allowance. Leighton is now asking a judge to declare that there is no contract between them.

I'm surprised Connie The Con (her prison name, of course) didn't sneak up on Leighton while she was sleeping, put a razor to her froat and whisper into her ear that she'd better add a carton of Reds to her monthly allowance or she'll cut her in the showers. Didn't Connie learn that this is not how you swindle cash of out of your celebrity child? You blackmail them with threats that you'll leak ESCANDALOSO pictures of them to The National Enquirer? Didn't White Oprah teach her the protocol of stealing from your own child during the weekly pimp mom meetings?

This sotry makes me sad. Why doesn't she try to get custody from he rmother if she wants to make sure her brother is cared for?

There is an older brother who is also talked about in the gossip news as he was accused of raping another cadet at the air force academy. Can't find anything else out there that says what he is doing now though.

The 22-year-old Gossip Girl starlet, aspiring songbird and sneakers shiller—who was born while her mother was serving a prison sentence for drug smuggling—has a brother who’s also seen his share of legal troubles, according to Denver Westworld.

According to the paper, Leighton’s bro, Douglas Meester, was accused of rape while he was a teenager attending the Air Force Academy. A series of articles penned by Westworld writer Julie Jargon detail how Douglas—then a sophomore at the Academy—was accused of raping and sodomizing fellow cadet Justine Parks, then 18, in 2002, after the two had a drunken, intimate encounter.

The involvement of alcohol, however, led to confusion in the case. “Parks says she was too weak to resist and doesn’t recall ever saying ‘no,’” Jargon writes. “However, she told investigators that she ‘knew for a fact that he probably thought what we were doing was consensual.’”

Even so, perhaps because the Academy was in the midst of a sexual-harassment scandal, “new commandant of cadets Brigadier General Johnny Weida ordered the court-martial for Douglas Meester…even though the Article 32 hearing officer recommended against it, saying there was insufficient evidence.”

Meester eventually cut a deal in June 2004, pleading to conduct unbecoming of an officer, dereliction of duty and committing an indecent act in exchange for the rape charges being dropped. The teenager was fined $2,000 and given a written reprimand—far lighter than the potential life sentence he might have received had he been convicted of rape.

Speaking of Leighton, the gal who plays Blair Waldorf graces the cover of the March 2009 Seventeen magazine and discusses her taste in men. “I think guys who are rebels and make their own rules are appealing,” Meester says. “I don’t want to tame anybody. I want them to be dark and bad.”

Not that she’s all that hung up on dudes, she adds. “I haven’t ever really relied on relationships with guys,” she notes. “They come around and it’s cool, but it’s never been a big thing. I guess I’ve just been really distracted by work.”

Leighton Meester has spoken of her admiration for younger brother Lex, who once battled a brain tumour. The 24-year-old Gossip Girl actress makes the touching tribute to the 15-year-old in an interview with US magazine, Nylon. Meester says: "He's very talented and way funny and a lot smarter than I am, and he's honestly the most important thing in the whole world to me. "I want to be like him when I grow up and I don't know where he got it, but he's the strongest kid in the world and I'm just amazed by him." Meester also has an older brother called Douglas, who has two daughters.

Leighton Meester's mom is firing back after her daughter sued her last week -- claiming in a new countersuit, Leighton threw her to the ground back in December ... "repeatedly hitting her with a bottle."

According to the countersuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, at 2:00 AM on December 11, 2010, the "Gossip Girl" actress attacked her mom with the bottle and was so crazed she had to be pulled off her mom by her little brother.

Constance Meester says it's true ... Leighton sent her $7,500 every month, but that was not out of the goodness of her heart. It was -- Constance claims -- a settlement for all the money she helped make for her daughter.

Leighton Meester has sued her somewhat infamous mother, Constance Meester, for claiming she got her hands on money that Leighton set aside for her sick brother and using it instead for Botox and hair extensions.

And now, Constance is suing her daughter right back, claiming that she "sacrificed her happiness" to further Leighton's career and that the CW star has breached a contract by leaving her high and dry.

OMFG, right?

Constance claims that she and her other kids "sacrificed" their happiness to move to New York and then Los Angeles for Leighton's career, and that the amount she shelled out over the years for private school and acting classes totaled more than $230,000.

Constance's suit states that there was a legal deal in place to get $10,000 a month from Leighton, and that she has been, per the Welfare and Institutions Code, a "dependant adult" due to medical issues and is eligible for parental support.

Her daughter's payments, she says, were late or nonexistent, and Constance's home fell into foreclosure and she lost her health insurance this month.

Leighton has tried to turn her brother Alexander against their mom and has threatened to stop paying support payments if he didn't move away from Constance, the suit alleges.

She also accuses Leighton of being the one who called social services on her by making up false claims that she was abusing Alexander's head wound and otherwise mistreating him. After interviewing Constance, the suit says, investigators apologized for the inconvenience and went on their way.

Constance she didn't want to sue her daughter, but that Leighton simply refuses to pay her the money she's owed.

In a suit filed Friday, Meester states that she sent approximately $7,500 a month to Constance, who she says refuses to work, to go toward medical treatment for her younger brother Alexander, who underwent brain surgery in May.

But Meester's lawsuit claims that Constance used a chunk of that money for plastic surgery on her face and stomach, Botox injections, hand fillers and hair extensions. Moreover, the suit charges that Constance is battling drug and alcohol abuse and has been taking Alexander's prescription painkillers.

Meester says that she's still happy to provide for her brother's medical care and school tuition, but since then Constance has "concocted a ridiculous claim" that her daughter once promised her $10,000 a month for life.

The actress, who is seeking a court declaration that there was never any such agreement, calls the notion "absurd," saying whatever money she sent was done so "voluntarily and gratuitiously." She also claims that Constance threatened to sue her if she didn't give her mother $3 million.

It doesn't sound as if there will be any kissing and making up for these two any time soon.
