Lawsuit: Rich, A-List Celeb Allegedly Spreads Herpes

A new lawsuit obtained by TMZ alleges "An A-list celebrity of substantial fame internationally" knowingly exposed a sex partner to the herpes virus. But here's the rub -- the suit doesn't name the celeb.

According to the suit, the plaintiff -- who also is not named -- met the celebrity in Las Vegas April 1. The suit claims the celeb -- a male who is worth in excess of $100 million -- "entered into a nefarious plot designed to lure Plaintiff into his luxurious hotel room to serve his prurient desires."

The suit claims the celeb told the plaintiff he had "no venereal diseases." At that point, they watched porn and engaged in "mutual oral copulation, mutual self-gratification, rubbing and massaging each other, play-wrestling, licking and (unprotected) intercourse." And, it was all videotaped!

According to the lawsuit, filed by attorney Keith Davidson, it didn't end well, because the plaintiff contracted herpes. The suit claims the celeb knew all along he had herpes and lied to the plaintiff in order to satisfy his desires.

The plaintiff -- not identified as either a man or a woman -- is suing for more than $20 million.

i'm guessing from the 'play-wrestling' that the plaintiff is a dude.

Sounds like the defendant had a score to settle with the plantiff, since it says he lured the person to his hotel room. Revenge is a dish best served cold, they say. And giving someone herpes is pretty damn cold.

^^ I read it as he lured her/him for the sole purpose of sex - "to serve his prurient desires."

Also, it states the star is a man but the sex of the plaintiff is not known. But can we conclude it's a woman, since herpes was received during unprotected intercourse? I realize they could mean anal, but I would think the spread of herpes would be more likely the other way.

Or I could be completely wrong. It's happened before.

Doesn't it seem really quick that the plaintiff would have contracted it and it would have shown itself so quickly? I would think it would be hard to prove who gave it to you, especially if you were um...loose enough to go home with a stranger.

I don't know much about herpes -- can you really pick it up and develop it that quickly? I think the plaintiff will have a hard time proving this case. S/he will have to prove that they didn't have herpes before and haven't had unprotected sex with anyone else recently. Just their willingness to meet with this celebrity and have unprotected sex doesn't speak well of their virtue or judgment. And the fact that they taped the encounter? This is someone who was looking for a payoff and may have gotten more than they bargained for.

If this case stays in the court system for long without settling, the real name of the celeb will have to come out eventually. I doubt they'd be able to keep the name secret for long, it will ge leaked by somebody. (can't wait to find out who!
