Mike Starr, bassist for Alice In Chains and Celeb Rehab fame, dead at 44
Mike Starr, the rocker who appeared on the third season of “Celebrity Rehab,” has died.
A source with the show confirms the news to Gossip Cop.
He was 44.
The cause of death is not yet known.
Starr, the former bassist for Alice in Chains, was arrested for drug possession last month.

Whoa. That sucks. Watching him on Celebrity Rehab you could tell he had serious real deal problems and beyond what most of them come there with.
I was acquainted with him and the boys back in the day. We were actually born on the exact same day. We toasted many a toast to this factI was actaully surprised he was still alive when he was on Celebrity Rehab. After he was canned from Alice, he went missing for years. No one knew where he was or if he was even alive. This is really sad. His good looks only got him so far - I know, I know but, he was actually very, very hot in his 20s. Unfortunately he was a fucked up shell of a man when I knew him and I can only imagine he got worse. Heroin is a hard thing to kick. Sad but, not surprising.

I watched him on Celebrity Rehab. Jeeze, he was a couple of fired neurons away from having a complete mental break.
I wonder if he stayed clean at all after the show.
Aw sad! Especially since he visited the last Celebrity Rehab show and seemed to have it pretty much together.

He was unstable before he got into Heroin. I don't know how to explain him...he seemed to be of below average intelligence but, was really good looking and in a popular band. He was actually really wierd but, he was put up with because he was really good looking and in a popular band. He got kicked out of the band for selling boot leg tapes behind the other members' backs and was kind of ostricized from the Seattle music scene after that. This is the reason that he disappeared.

He was a good looking guy back in the AIC days. He was looking the part of longtime junkie as of late, unfortunately. Sad.
