Ok, Esquire Magazine came out with their 'Women We Love' edition and Christina was the cover girl. What an honor right? Well, that was until TODAY. Editor-in-chief David Granger admitted that the original choice was Scarlett Johansson. Apparently, at the very last minute she pulled out and left the magazine scrambling for a new model.
"Scarlett completely screwed us," Granger told an audience at a magazine conference in Toronto, the New York Daily News reports. An insider tells the paper Johansson was the number one gal Esquire wanted for the cover and she was "committed" to the photo shoot.I will say this. The fact that the trail is slowly being removed from the Internet might indicate that lawyers are going after publications demanding false statements be cleansed. Let's wait and see if Granger releases an official statement about this mess.
The Daily News was unable to reach Granger yesterday, stating his comment originally appeared in Canada's National Post, though no trace of it appears online.
"I think her commitment on Broadway [in Arthur Miller's 'A View From the Bridge'] prevented her from making good," an insider tells the Daily News.
