Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight reunite in Venice

They've been quietly working out their relationship for the past several years and Sunday in Venice, Angelina Jolie and her dad Jon Voight took their reconciliation public.
With Brad Pitt literally along for the ride, Angelina and Jon got together for a water taxi ride through the Venice Grand Canal and RadarOnline.com has the photos.
Also enjoying the afternoon were two of Brad and Angie's children.
Angelina and her father have been estranged since 2001 when Voight made a TV appeal for his daughter to get help for "her serious mental problems." Angelina wanted nothing to do with her father after that, and accused Voight of cheating on her mother.
The father-daughter reunion has been largely engineered by Brad. He is close to his family and when he was married to Jennifer Aniston he urged her to reconcile with her mother, after they became estranged.
Angelina and her family are in Venice while she films The Tourist with Johnny Depp.

Meh, good for them. Even though it's still more damage control for the whole "breakup" rumor, I think it's nice to see Ang with her Dad...and he deserves to be a grandparent to his grandkids, if he wants the opportunity.

I'm not up on what her part was in it or what made her hypocritical. What did she do/say?
All I knew about was him calling her nuts in the press and saying she needed help. I know if my father got out and made comments like that about me and my personal life to people, I'd be pretty pissed too.

One of the big reasons he's supposedly out of her life is because he cheated on her mother. She gets all uptight about that and then runs around skanking it up with married men herself. I remember one story posted here about her carrying on with some married guy in her trailer while filming something pre-Vanilla.

Yep, she planned it so she would be making a film in Venice right at the time of the allegations. Or not.
