Will Smith's son Jaden is the New Karate Kid

Jaden Smith, the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett, shot the remake of 'The Karate Kid' in Beijing. Apparently the martial arts training helped him with more than just self-defense.

Wax on, wax what?

Will Smith's youngest son Jaden Smith is learning what it takes to defeat the Cobra Kais for a remake of the 1984 film, "The Karate Kid," also starring Jackie Chan.
"I trained every day for four months with Master Wu \[the film's fight coordinator\]," Jaden, 11, told People magazine. "We did a lot of stretching."
In the movie, due in theaters June 11, Smith plays Dre Parker, the son of a single mom who moves them to China for work. Once there, he embraces the art of self-defense.
The remake was filmed in Beijing.
Chan, who plays maintenance man Mr. Han, says Smith mastered front kicks and upper blocks and "took the training very seriously."
"I was very impressed with him," Chan said.
And not only did Smith's newfound talents in discipline and obedience help him on screen, but they've apparently translated to his off-screen life as well.
"His dad told me that Jaden had changed," Chan told People. "When he takes his shoes off, he doesn't throw them in the corner, but puts them away neatly!"

Aww, damn. Another classic ruined by Jayden's horrible acting. First, the Day The Earth Stood Still and now the Karate Kid.

Look at it this way: in a few years, Suri will be playing his love interest and we can rename it "The $cientology Kid". Maybe Suri and Jaden will learn enough moves to kick their respective dads in the nuts and run like hell. (Just thinking out loud.)

i think he's a bad actor and wouldn't get any work if his dad weren't will.
he wasn't even convincing when he played will's son in that "happyness"-movie.
