Wearing a pompadour and a Swarovski-studded Calvin Klein Jeans jacket, Natalie Portman looks tough in this sneak peek of the winter 2009/2010 issue of V Magazine, shot by photographer Mario Testino.
And in the accompanying interview she’s talking tough, too — about the role of beauty in her industry. “You see people who were stars five years ago and already they’re waning,” Natalie says of the imposed short shelf life of many Hollywood actresses. “As actresses approach 40, it starts becoming really, really difficult.”
And while at 28, she’s still years from that marker, she’s ambivalent about plastic surgery in the future. “I would hope not,” she says of whether she’d ever go under the knife.
She does not, however, completely rule it out, explaining that she won’t know how she’ll feel as she ages. While wrinkles aren’t a problem yet, she admits, “if I have a pimple I want to get rid of it.” Check out the full interview in V Magazine, on stands today.

Terrible picture of her. She's so much prettier than that.
I really irritates me to hear a 28 year-old commenting on ageism in Hollywood. Just shut up until you're 40.
Oh and I noticed she didn't mention her nose job.

Try being 50 and mouthing off about "keeping it natural". Hell no. You need all the help you can get. And have to keep it up every year.....its very confronting when you think at 25 that you are gonna stay that way forever and then suddenly you are 50 and you are not what you expected.....

^^ With all due respect, mom is 62 (?), is built like a woman in her 20's, never wears makeup, and is, according to men of all ages, one of the sexiest women they've ever seen. Great skin, great hair. No plastic surgery. She is the epitome of "black don't crack!"
I can say that every guy I've dated since high school, including my husband, thinks she hot. I would kill to look half as good as she does at her age. Or now!
