Elton John has "serious case" of E-coli and Flu
Rocket Man is feeling under the weather.
After canceling a string of shows in his native UK, Elton John has followed doctor's orders and postponed three upcoming concerts in Seattle and Portland "due to a serious case of e-coli bacterial infection and influenza," his official website states.
A spokesman clarified that the 62 year-old musician "has flu and is absolutely fine," BBC News reports Sunday.
John has been performing in the U.S. with co-headliner Billy Joel for their "Face 2 Face" arena tour; Joel's "flu-like symptoms" temporarily put the brakes on their tour back in July.
The "Candle in the Wind" singer entered into a civil partnership with David Furnish (they met in 1993) in a lavish ceremony in December 2005.
Promoters hope to reschedule the Seattle and Oregon shows in December.
