Default Michael Jackson [whacko] praised Hitler as "genius"

Jacko hailed Hitler as a ‘genius’ in lost tape

    By KATE JACKSON

MICHAEL Jackson praised the showmanship of HITLER - describing him in a bombshell taped interview as a "genius".

Jacko was also convinced he could have got rid of the Fuhrer's evil. His amazing claims - made to a RABBI - are revealed for the first time as The Sun today lifts the lid on a sensational series of recorded conversations between the two friends.

Jacko told close pal Rabbi Shmuley Boteach: "Hitler was a genius orator.
"To make that many people turn and change and hate, he had to be a showman and he was."

The rabbi put it to the singer, who died of heart failure in June aged 50: "You believe that if you had an hour with Hitler you could somehow touch something inside of him?"
Jackson declared: "Absolutely. I know I could." He insisted nobody was all evil, explaining:

"You have to help them, give them therapy, teach them that somewhere, something in their life went wrong."

The Jewish holyman, 42 - a rabbi at Oxford University for 11 years - taped more than 30 hours of interviews with the star.

I don't think he 'praised' Hitler by saying he was a genius. The word has such positive connotations because, obviously, it's a gift to be amazingly intelligent. But amazingly intelligent people don't always use their gift in the right way. I would agree Hitler was a genius (at least in manipulation etc), but not in ANY way would I mean that as praise.

Though I must say I lol'd at the thought of Jacko wanting to 'touch something inside' Hitler.

^ Agreed. It does take some level of "genius" and brilliance (even if it's a mad genius) to achieve and propogate the cult of personality that Hitler managed to create. He WAS a master showman in that respect and he knew how to manipulate to get what he wanted.

Thank you. I'm sick of people getting bashed simply because they acknowledge that the man had a certain potent brand of intelligence and an amazing oratorical talent. That is not the same thing as glorifying what he did.

Well, Hitler was a genius! He had to have been.

Don't think therapy would've helped him much though...

^ I came down on Aubrey because of what she said about Castro, and HOW she said it. One of the shining points of O Day's argument that Castro was 'amazing' or whatever was that he had outlived Presidents. WAY TO FUCKING GO!

Exactly! Genius/intelligence is not an exclusive characteristic for "the good guys".
I also remember in the days right after 9/11 there were some who
said it was a stroke of genius to use airplanes as weapons and entire herds
of people stood up to say it wasn't genius at all: it was cruel and mean......
Yes, of course it was inhumanely cruel and mean, but it was also unexpected
which made it the "genius" combination with evil: normal, "good" people
would never make that lethal combo, because it is simply "not done".
And isn't there a common fear as old as time for scientists, doctors etc.
to lose their minds and use their knowledge for evil?

It's widely acknowledged that Hitler was an incredible orator. I agree that Jackson was not praising Hitler by mentioning that.

honestly, the title is twisting. I've always said that about hitler as well. It takes a person with a highly intelligent mind to turn a whole country and its people into madness like he did. Indeed he was a highly talented orator. We didn't need MJ to point this out, or bash him because he did. I don't see why people always equate genious to good guy. Rommell was a military genious as well, and he would probably have won the war if Hitler had followed his advice. Napoleon was too, and he wasn't exactly a good use. Intelligence is the use you make of your chances

You'd think nobody had ever heard the (total cliche and common as dirt) phrase "evil genius" before, huh? I don't think Hitler was a genius IQ-wise, but he had a genius talent for manipulation and oratory, certainly. I've heard old records of his speeches--incredible, and so bizarre. He just whipped his audience into a frenzy. Really terrifying stuff...I hope we never get another like him. Especially not now that we have far more lethal weapons than the Nazis ever did.

MJ, being a freak, was interested in freaks, I guess!
