Kerry Katona was allegedly sold cocaine by her mother - two months before she claimed video footage of her snorting the drug was a 'one-off lapse'.

According to the News of the World, the former singer and reality star sent a friend round to her mother Sue's terraced home to collect four grams of the drug in June.

A friend of Sue told the newspaper: 'Kerry's been taking drugs regularly since she split from Brian McFadden five years ago.
'After the video came out she said she'd taken the cocaine in a moment of weakness because it was a low point in her marriage. But that's bull. She's been getting drugs from anyone who will supply her on the quiet - including her mother.'
It was Sue who introduced Kerry to drugs when she was just 14.

According to the source, when the friend arrived to collect the drugs - worth around £240 - she was carrying Kerry's 16-month-old son, Maxwell.
She said: 'It was like she had come round for sugar. Kerry had called Sue earlier and asked is she could get her dealer to supply her with coke.
'Sue was just glad that Kerry was speaking to her and letting her see the kids, so she agreed.
'Kerry's mate flounced in the house with baby Maxwell in her arms. She asked sue if she had "the stuff". It was like it was the most normal thing in the world for her to pick up drugs for Kerry.'

The drugs-collector was advised by another of Sue's friends to hide the wraps of cocaine in different places in her car, in case she was pulled over by police. Possession of cocaine carries a sentence of up to seven years in prison, while supplying can attract a life sentence.
The friend said she had spoken out after Kerry's ex-husband Brian said he wouldn't fight for custody of the two daughters he has with the 29-year-old.
The former Westlife star and his parents had accepted assurances from Kerry that the News of the World's video was just an isolated incident.

According to the friend, Kerry has also been using Speed - a cheaper drug - when she hasn't been able to afford coke.
The bankrupt star lost her £250,000 Iceland contract last month after the cocaine video scandal.

Yesterday, Kerry spent the day at Southport with her husband Mark Croft, the children and their nanny, Gemma. The former Atomic Kitten, who last year spent £15,000 on liposuction, was spotted drinking Smirnoff Ices, smoking cigarettes and eating a burger.

A spokesman for the star denied the drugs allegations.
