Kerry Katona is 'on the verge of being sectioned' amid fears over her mental health.
Concerned friends of the reality TV star have spoken out about their worries, after Kerry had two run ins with the police in a week.
The bankrupt star was cautioned and lost her lucrative contract as the face of Iceland after being filmed snorting cocaine, then allegedly assaulted her accountant David McHugh.

Carrying on: After being released by police Kerry went on a shopping spree
Now friends say Kerry has 'lost it'. 'Everyone fears she'll do something so crazy the authorities will section her, the insider told Closer. 'Her outburst of violence was totally out of character.'
In the incident Kerry allegedly threw a cup of tea over McHugh after confronting him at his office over her lost millions.
She also reportedly threw equipment around the office before turning on Mr McHugh, who served jail time in 2004 for fraud after setting up a company to help firms recover debts.
He claims he was left 'black and blue' in the confrontation.
A friend told Now magazine: 'We fear the worst. She needs serious help, both with her state of mind and her drug addiction.
'Kerry's had her fair share of bad times, but this seems to be rock bottom. She's still bankrupt, she's scared of losing her kids and now she fears going to prison.
'But she still believes Mark [Croft, her husband] is the one person she can trust when really he's responsible for all this.'
Kerry's biggest fear is reportedly having to move her children into a council home, like the one where she spent her unhappy childhood.
Today Kerry was putting a brave face on her problems as she and unemployed Mark took her oldest daughters Molly, seven and six-year-old Lilly Sue for a day out.
* Coronation Street bosses have rubbished claims that shamed Kerry is set to join the show.
She had reportedly been lined up to play the part if a 'mouthy battleaxe', but a spokeswoman said the rumours were 'completely untrue'.
They insisted there were 'no plans whatsoever to have her in the show'.
