In a time when the unemployment here is over 10 percent I resent Simon and Ryans new contract. The rest of the world has no money and they get mo' money.
If Paula and whats her name don't return who cares.
Manager: Paula Abdul ‘Hurt,’ ‘Angry,’ May Not Return To ‘Idol’ | Access Hollywood - Celebrity News, Photos & Videos
LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Paul Abdul may not return to “American Idol” for a ninth season, her manager claimed in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times.
“She’s not a happy camper as a result of what’s going on. She’s hurt. She’s angry,” David Sonenberg, the “Idol” judge’s manager, told the newspaper on Friday.
David, who said that he became Paula’s manager just weeks ago, at the end of June, added that he has yet to receive a proposal for a new contract for Paula.
“I find it under these circumstances particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful,” he said. “I find it kind of unconscionable and certainly rude and disrespectful that they haven’t stepped up and said what they want to do.”
The result of the stalled negotiations, David said, is that Paula is unlikely to be back on the show she’s judged for eight previous seasons.
“Very sadly, it does not appear that she’s going to be back on ‘Idol,’” he said.
David’s remarks come on the heels of the news of show host Ryan Seacrest’s new contract, a reported $45 million, three-year deal that makes him the highest-paid reality host on television.
Judge Simon Cowell is also in negotiations to renew his contract, while third judge Randy Jackson is attached to the show through 2011.
Auditions for Season 9 begin on August 6, with the show set to return in January.

She just wants more money.
Plus she'll be back--where else is she offered more money than this??

she'll be back.
Well, the whore apples sure didn't fall far from the whore tree. Sylkyn
Again, the only reason why people tune in to AI are to watch Simon be a dick, and whatever crazy shit Paula's going to say...
Am I the only one who thinks only Simon has any relevance on the panel? I don't know why AI puts up with Paula's constant whining, antics and drama. She contributes nothing, nor do Randy and Kara. People only want to hear from Simon anyway so why doesn't he carry the show on his own (or have him choose his own guest judges each week)?
Paula should just be happy that anybody's willing to pay her to do anything.
god, we can only hope she doesn't come back! her & Kara both!
dead yet?
I am from the American CIA and I have a radio in my head. I am going to kill you.
The show won't be worse off for her leaving, considering how easily replaceable she is. Insert any drug addled has-been in her chair.
You're not alone. Paula is just a train-wreck. Based on what I hear friends who watch AI say - most FF through Paula and Randy (and most recently, Kara.)
I, for one, would feel no sadness if only Simon and Ryan remained on the show.
That said....I believe this is just 'this years publicity stunt' for people to tune in. (Last year it was Simon not coming back.)
I don't need to hear yo-dawg after each performance by Randy.
I don't need to see Paula smack Simon, cover his mouth, and I certainly don't tune it to see her dance through the contestants performance.
If any of them come back, other than Simon, I want them in opposite sections of the theatre, or have dividers between them.
I had forgotten just how annoying the child play was between Paula and the other chick and Paula and Simon.
They might be back next year but I won't. I'm over it. They spin so much b/s that you don't know whats going on until the show is over.
She'll be back because she has nothing else going on and she's been irrelevant for years, so this is her only hope. I find her annoying and the antics between her and Simon to be irritating.
I can only hope this article is true. I would love it if she and Kara Diobitch left the show forever. Simon is the only one who contributes anything of any relevance.
I am unsure how I will go on if she doesn't return. How will I live if I know she is hurt and angry? HOW??????? SOMEONE TELL ME HOW????? I DONT KNOW A LIFE WITHOUGH PAULA ABDUL BEING COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH HER LIFE AND GETTING PAID WELL FOR WHATEVER THE HELL SHE DOES....
I haven't watched the show in years, but when I did, it was because of Simon. He was the only one that offered constructive criticism. And even that got boring. That show is on too many days out of the year for me to have to endure the same boring responses over and over again. Plus the music sucks! The only interesting time is Hollywood week.
