Well that means the other people nominated in her category may as well stay at home. Her death sealed this one.

Nominees for the prestigious Emmy Awards were announced today, but for one it was too late to join the celebrations.
Farrah Fawcett died of cancer three weeks ago, but her documentary charting her battle against the disease has been nominated in the nonfiction special category.
'It's very bittersweet. Farrah passed away three weeks ago today,' said Alana Stewart, who helped film her longtime friend for Farrah's Story.
Posthumous honour: Farrah Fawcett received an Emmy nomination for her documentary Farrah's Story
Moving: Farrah and her partner Ryan O'Neal in the documentary
'I know that she would be so, so happy. This was so important to her, this project.
'She's been nominated before, and I just know that this would be the most important one of all.'
Amongst the other programmes to go up for the awards was Tina Fey's sitcom 30 Rock, which received a leading 22 Emmy Award nominations, while the '60s retro series Mad Men led the drama pack with 16 bids.
Nominations: Chandra Wilson and Jim Parsons announce the nominees for Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie
The shows were last year's best comedy and drama and have a chance to repeat the performance at the September ceremony.
The TV movies Grey Gardens, with 17 nominations, and Into the Storm, with 14 nominations, were among the front-runners.
Chandra Wilson of Grey Anatomy's and Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory"helped make the announcement at the TV academy's theater - and both proved to be among the lucky.
'No! ... This is some sort of trick fest,' said Parsons, when his nomination for lead actor in a comedy series was announced.
Who's the winner: The nomainstions for lead Actor in a Comedy Series
'I feel a little dreamlike right now,' Parsons said later about his first-time Emmy nomination.
'I'm going to the party' was Wilson's response to her bid for lead actress in a miniseries or movie for Accidental Friendship.
She was also nominated for supporting actress in a drama series for Grey's Anatomy.
The number of contenders in series and acting categories were expanded this year, which may have allowed room for some unexpected bids, including a rare best-comedy series nomination for an animated series, Family Guy.
Even long-running The Simpsons had to settle once again for inclusion in the category designated for animated programs.
Only one animated program other than Family Guy has gained a nomination among filmed comedies - The Flintstones in 1961.
Funny? Family Guy is the first comedy to be nomintaed since the 1960s

Why is it that after celebs die, then they get recognition i.e. nomination, posthumous awards etc. What about awards while they are still alive and kicking.
Hollywood is so f**king fake.
Farrah should win this.
It would be fitting to see her best friend Alana Steward & the love of her life Ryan O'Neal accept in her honor.
Cancer survivors everywhere, who've applauded her efforts & courage to expose what we go through, are celebrating her nomination now.
If she wins, it'll be a win for us too : )
"the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone"
As a cancer survivor I would like to be recognized for what I go through with the disease. It is great that she may help some with her show but I am not sure it is Emmy material. I hope she wins if she was truly the best inher category, not just because she died of cancer. I hate seeing anyone win for that reason alone. I'll pass on the sympathy vote every time.

i thought the special was very well done, and VERY informative. I hope she wins.

As I understood from the responses right after "Farrah's Story" was broadcast,
and from the comments of the guy who started the project with her, but was
later fired (by whom?), the actual finished product was quite different from
what her original aim was: to educate people on (possible) cancer treatments
by way of telling her story.
What it turned into was less medical and more personal stuff (possibly to
include O'Neal more), at least that's what the guy who started the project
with her said.
From what I saw of it on YouTube, I got more of a "Brave me, watch me
conquer cancer, oh shit, I'm gonna lose this battle: poor me, watch me
suffer"..... type of vibe, and for some reason, I have a feeling that O'Neal
may have contributed to that..... Like his influence increased as she got
weaker to protest, something like that.
I think, if it had been as she apparently had planned, it may have been
more educational and as such more logical to have been nominated as
a serious documentary, while now it has more of a last cry for sympathy
thing about it (if I can't be in a successfull movie anymore, watch me battle
my possibly deadly disease). JMO.

The emotional stuff is part of it though. There are a lot of ups and downs in cancer treatment. My cancer was relatively easy to deal with compared to others'. Having said that, there were still times that I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster. As the patient though, you have to hold your sh*t together so your family doesn't freak out. Maybe it's a good thing that cancer survivors will see her ups and downs. Maybe they'll be able to relate.
Oh, on YouTube there was still plenty of medical stuff. It's just that the
guy who started the project with her said that the final product was much
less what she had intended it to be, that she intended it to be less personal
footage and more her (medical) journey - according to him.

If she wins, I could see how some cynics would interpret it as the sympathy vote that got it, but she honest-to-God deserves to win! Her documentary laid everything bare.
Farrah wins automatically. It's sad the other nominees in the category don't stand a chance.
