She's a household name Stateside, so it should come as little surprise that Susan Boyle has been offered a role on one of America's top TV shows.
The Britain's Got Talent sensation is set to star in the hit series Ugly Betty after U.S. television bosses reportedly contacted her about a cameo a month ago.

Chiefs think the 48-year-old Scottish virgin would be perfect for the show, which is based on the day to day life of another quirky, bushy-eyebrowed misfit Betty, played by America Ferrera.
A source told The Sun: 'Susan has been bombarded with offers of work in America, but this is something she is really keen on and we hope to make happen. She will definitely play herself.'

If Susan, who has already made an appearance on another hugely popular American program - The Oprah Winfrey Show, accepts the Ugly Betty offer, she will be following British stars including Naomi Campbell and Victoria Beckham.
Susan's spokesman said: 'Susan has many on the table. At the moment she is looking forward to recording her album.'
Susan became a huge success in the U.S. after her audition for the ITV1 show hit You Tube.

She was set to fly Stateside for a promotional tour after the final last month, but the plan was ditched after she suffered a breakdown and spent four days in the Priory.
She has since pulled out of a series of shows on the BGT show, and is focusing on making an album.
Her mentor Simon Cowell has already confirmed that Susan has signed a record deal for a new album - to be produced under his SyCo record label.
Speaking on GMTV he said: 'We are going to make a record with her.'

A dream role? It's just a cameo gurrrllll.
A 'dream role' is one where you get a major part in a movie or a regular on a t.v. show
NOT a one time cameo playing yourself.
Great for her nonetheless, something else besides MJ!

Susan Boyle won't be appearing on an episode of Ugly Betty, an ABC rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.
The UK Sun reported the Britain's Got Talent runner-up, 48, was contacted by the network last month to "play herself.
