Liv Tyler has been single since splitting from her former husband Royston Langdon last year but the actress sparked rumours that she had found herself a new love as she was spotted with a mystery man.
The 31-year-old was all smiles as she stepped out with her son Milo and a male companion in New York’s West Village.
Dressed in a casual black patterned dress, brown sandals and dark sunglasses, the star looked blissfully happy as she strolled down the street while affectionately touching her companion, who was sporting a trilby hat and grey T-shirt.

Liv then shared a tender moment with four-year-old Milo, who was perhaps feeling a little left out.
It is the first time Liv has been seen publicly enjoying the attentions of another man since the breakdown of her five year marriage to Langdon.
Earlier this year the Lord of the Rings star admitted that she was still struggling to cope with the split.
‘There's nothing worse than heartache, being lovesick. It's like there's a physical sickness,’ she told Wonderland magazine.

‘You through a couple of weeks where you think 'Oh, I'm OK, I feel better,' and then suddenly, out of nowhere, it hits you again.’
She said she was devastated when the former Spacehog singer finally moved out of their home after their split last year.
‘The hardest part is when they leave. It also brings up a lot of issues - you might feel like a failure, or like there is something wrong with you,’ she added.
‘You can't run away from yourself - you kind of have to just deal with it.’
Liv hit the headlines last month when she was pictured engaging in a furious war of words with a woman who had been shouting at a crying baby in a pram.
