I can reveal the real reason why Cheryl and Ashley Cole pulled out of last weekend’s big WAG wedding.
X-Factor judge Cheryl and her footballer husband were due to attend Carly Zucker and Joe Cole’s reception, but failed to show up.
Says my source: ‘Ashley wanted to go to the wedding but Cheryl didn’t because she’s been told that if she wants to become a real A-lister, then she should steer clear of the WAG crowd.

‘They had a massive row but Cheryl got her way as usual. Joe and Carly had even booked a room for them in The Hempel hotel so they would be able to have a late night.’
Cheryl’s publicist said: ‘Cheryl had to work on her new album over the weekend. She is recording that at the same time as X Factor.’

* Actress Scarlett Johansson has pulled out of a new TV series presented by Fearne Cotton and could be replaced by Cheryl Cole – if Fearne gets her way.
Scarlett was to feature in Fearne’s ITV2 show Fearne And... in which she examines the day-to-day lives of celebrities.

A source says: ‘Fearne wants Cheryl to replace Scarlett. They really bonded climbing Mount Kilimanjaro together, so Cheryl would be perfect. Fearne was frustrated by the pull-out and told a pal Scarlett is “difficult”.’
