Life & Style: Health problems for Brangelina’s twins?

Life & Style’s cover story this week is “Why Angelina Is Hiding The Twins”. The cover is of a squinty, worried-looking Angelina in Cannes with an adorable little inset of babies Vivienne and Knox. I recognize the baby pictures - they’re from January, when the whole Jolie-Pitt brood was photographed at the Tokyo airport. The story isn’t as cute as the those chubby baby cheeks though - Life & Style is claiming that twins Knox and Viv are “in hiding”. My first thought was “The twins, they know too much… witness protection… mafia…how will they hide those lips?” Alas, Life & Style went a different route, saying that the babies are “suffering from serious digestive problems.” Some “insiders” are even suggesting that the babies have what seems like… Celiac Disease. Good Lord, is Elizabeth Hasselbeck in on this story? Is it cross-promotion?

Nearly everywhere Angie and Brad have gone, their four oldest children — Maddox, Pax and the boys’ sisters, Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, 2 — have been seen with them.

Noticeably absent, however, have been the couple’s two youngest kids, twins Vivienne and Knox, who’ll turn 1 on July 12. In fact, the twins have been spotted in public only once since January: when they were rushed through an airport near Tokyo while being closely guarded by their parents.

Since then, they’ve remained in hiding — leading to speculation that something could be wrong.

Now Life & Style has learned that Brad and Angelina have been seriously concerned about the twins’ health. The babies are suffering from serious digestive problems, says an insider close to the family. “They’re both hypersensitive,” the insider tells Life & Style.

“Knox has trouble holding down his food. He spits up nearly every meal.” Vivienne, meanwhile, has food and environmental allergies, explains the insider: “Right now, she’s on a lactose and gluten-free diet, and she’s still underweight.”

Angelina, 34, and Brad, 45, have been so worried, they’ve had the twins undergo genetic testing and have been adamant about keeping them behind closed doors. In truth, the real reason Brad and Angelina have been reluctant to take the twins out has to do with their own fears, says the insider.

“Because of their delicate state, Knox and Vivienne need to be kept away from anything they could possibly be allergic to,” the insider explains. “That’s a lot easier to do when they’re home and in a controlled environment.”

Meh. The twins looked pretty healthy in January. I can remember when Shiloh wasn’t photographed for several months, back in 2006 and 2007, and the tabloids did the same thing, questioned her health. I could conceivably buy that maybe the twins are colicky or something like that. But it sounds like bullsh-t to me. I think this is just Life & Style’s way of demanding a photo op with the twins. Thus, the actual countdown of days since Knox and Viv have been seen - 146 days!

On a less conspiratorial note, here’s a small little story from the New York Daily News - they asked Angelina’s Salt costar Liev Schreiber what Angelina is really like. Liev told them, “She’s a lot shorter than I thought she would be, but I was pleased by that… I’m happy there was a flaw. Having said that, I think Angelina is pretty talented. And a remarkable human being, and a great mom. She’s definitely not like any other lady I know.” Sweet. People always think Angelina is taller or bigger than she really is - I suspect it’s mainly because she has such broad shoulders for a woman. Waist-up, or even chest-up photos make it seem like she’s a tall, broad woman. Of course, I’d imagine most women seem small to Liev. He’s 6′3″ tall. Angelina is said to be 5′8″.

There is a story on comcast.net-the fan-video portion. It says that Brad has been texting Jen. Angie found out and texted Jen something nasty back. I would start a thread but I don't have the skills.

Who is being mean? I'm sorry if the twins are not well but Angelina was working like a demon and eating like a bird while carrying them.

i'll admit that i want to see what they look like now. they had huge melon heads in those airport pictures from a few months back.

If you're talking about your post on making a new thread, the info about Brad and Jen texting is actually posted here, somewhere, already.
