Johnny Depp wants a "beer belly".

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star - who first appeared on the big screen around 25 years ago in horror classic 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' - daydreams about eating and drinking whatever he likes when he eventually retires from movies.

He said: "I just want to become a traditional old man with a beer belly. I'd like to be sitting on the veranda of our place in France, just staring out over the lawns."

However, the 45-year-old actor seems to be one of the few celebrities desperate to expand his stomach.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin recently admitted he lives in fear of "Belly Day".

He said: "I feel like you've got to write as many songs as you can between the ages of 28 and 33 because those are your last few years before you get a belly.

"I couldn't possibly write a hit record when I've got a beer belly, so we're just going to try to write as many songs as possible before that D-Day, or B-Day it should be - for Belly Day!"

Didn't JD have a gross pot belly in Fear and Loathing? I tried to find a screen shot that shows his profile or torso from the movie, but couldn't find one. I did come across this delicious old photo though:

As for CM, sigh. He's the only toe-headed male I've ever been attracted to. Blondes just put me off. Ever since the video for Yellow, he dug a tiny tiny crevice in my heart where he still remains. It's gotten to the point though that I can't watch any interview he gives or read about anything he says. He's always whinging about something. Blah blah blah. Waah waah waah. I wish his marriage to Gwyneth would end. Sure, he'll most likely still be annoying, but he'll be less annoying considering he'll no longer be associated with that fishy bitch.

Benicio del Toro had a really gross pot belly in Fear and Loathing, Johnny looked fine.

If he's still smoking he probably won't get that big belly. My friend was stick thin with abs for years. Then he stopped smoking. Suddenly he bulked up and while I'm sure the abs are still there, we don't see them anymore.
