Bizarre bonding session as Eminem and Jonathan Ross buddy up over comic books

One is a foul-mouthed rap behemoth, the other is a foul-mouthed broadcaster who has just served a ban for being offensive.

What do they both have in common? Theyíre both comic book geeks. That explains what Eminem was doing visiting Jonathan Rossís north London home late last night.
Far from coming up with a fiendish scheme to offend everyone on the planet, the pair were simply musing over their mutual love of 'graphic novels' (a nerdís way of saying they read comics).

Odd couple: Eminem is surrounded by burly minders as he is escorted from Jonathan Ross's Hampstead home after viewing his comic collection

Wossy, who was recently rapped over the knuckles for the Sachsgate scandal, even gave his new chum a rare comic from 1964 worth £150.
Eminem met the TV presenter while filming Friday Night With Jonathan Ross yesterday.
The show was filmed three days early to accommodate the rapper as well as fellow guest actor Ben Stiller.
The pair hit it off and headed back to Jonathanís place afterwards.

On his Twitter blog, Ross said: 'Had great fun with the guests and Eminem came back to mine to look at comics. I have an awful lot of comics. I gave him Avengers#3 from my own collection.

'I knew he needed it. Heís a big Marvel fan. We buy from the same comic book dealer in the States.'
Jonathan revealed he even plans to head to a comic convention in San Diego with his new BFF later this year.

His son, Harvey was particularly chuffed by their late-night guest.

Jonathan added: 'My son is a huge fan so was very pleased. He is a good kid.'

The 36-year-old singer's favourite is The Hulk and Ross later tweeted that the rapper is 'a big Marvel fan. Loves John Romita!'

Work before pleasure: Eminem appeared on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross to promote his new album before visiting his host's house

Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, recently appeared as a comic book character in Marvel's The Punisher and brandished a chainsaw in the strip.

In the violent cartoon, called Punisher/Eminem: Kill You, he is armed to the teeth and swaps bullets with an army of foes.
No doubt the TV host hoped his street cred would shoot through the roof after his world-famous guest popped in to his Hampstead home - but the U.S. rapper looked as glum as ever as he left clutching a can of Diet Coke.

But the presenter did manage to get out of the rapper that he isn't going to be performing in the UK any time soon.
In response to a fan asking what his schedule was and if Ross had been starstruck, he tweeted: 'He has no tour plans yet. I was very pleased and excited to meet him. Am genuine fan.'
But despite Jonathan Ross's well-documented love of Twitter, neither Eminem nor Ben Stiller have yet signed up to the social networking trend.

There's some drawings of comic characters that Em did in his teens floating around. Very artistically talented as well.

The fact that he's got a geeky side makes me love him even more!

Very interesting! Are they still out there? I'd love to see them.

The brain doesn't need blood. It just needs to be kept wet.
