A.I. David Cook's brother died
'Idol' David Cook's Brother Dies
ET confirms that "American Idol" winner David Cook's brother Adam has passed away after a long battle with brain cancer.
David announced the sad news Sunday at the Race for Hope 5K fund-raising race in Washington D.C. He said he had lost his 36-year-old brother the previous day, but was still proud to attend the event, which is held as a way to fight brain tumors. "I lost one today," he told the crowd, "but I gained 9,000 -- and I will be here every year that they will have me."
David had often spoken of his admiration and inspiration for Adam, including during the "American Idol" competition. About a year ago, Adam -- despite being ill and undergoing chemotherapy -- traveled to Los Angeles to see David perform on the hit reality show.

How tragic. I lost my sister to Lou Gherig's. It is really hard to lose a sibling.

Poor David, I remember how sick his brother was, and he didn't mention it on the show.... a magazine first broke the story. So sad

So sorry to hear that. I have always liked David Cook. I am an only child,....but losing a sibling has to be hard. Prayers!

I hate cancer, the treatment is horrible in it self. Seems to me after you go through all that you should live.
My grandmother lost her breast and still died of breast cancer. My friend has been under going treatment for a year - breast removed, chemo, shots.
They can give a man a 4 hour hard on and still they can't cure cancer.
I wish David peace... and at least his brother is no longer suffering.
