Mel Gibson stuns Hollywood by turning up at premiere hand in hand with new love Oksana

It was only two weeks ago that Mel Gibson shocked Hollywood by admitting he had been separated from his wife Robyn for several years.
Now that the couple announced divorce proceedings, the 53-year-old actor is free to date and he hasn't wasted any time in showing off his new girlfriend.

The Mad Max star appeared at the Los Angeles premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, hand-in-hand with new love Oksana Grigorieva.

The 39-year-old Russian singer's appearance with Mel came as surprising given the fact his £640million fortune is at stake in his upcoming divorce battle.
Grigorieva was just one of several Oksanas linked to Mel after he first revealed his divorce plans.
Grigorieva is signed to Mel's recording label Icon and previously dated former James Bond star Timothy Dalton. The couple split up two years ago.

They have a 12-year-old son, Thomas. She is believed to live in a house in Sherman Oaks, California, which is linked to Mel's production company.

Gibson's publicist told People magazine: 'Mel has been single for almost three years and it's nice to see him getting out and enjoying himself.'
A source at the screening said the couple kept a low-profile and declined to pose on the red carpet together and instead hurried into Grauman's Chinese Theatre holding hands.

It is believed Oksana was the mystery brunette photographed with the Australian on a beach near his Costa Rica home in March.

The actor's attendance at the premiere was unexpected as he rarely attends Hollywood events.
Mel was reportedly invited to watch Wolverine by the film's producers and star Hugh Jackman, who said he had modelled his character on Mad Max.
Mel and Robyn are said to have lived apart since August 2006, less than a month after the actor's high-profile arrest for driving under the influence.

The couple have been married for 28 years and have seven children: Hannah, 28; twins Christian and Edward, 26; William, 24; Louis, 21; Milio, 19; and Thomas, nine.
While Mel and Oksana hurried down the red carpet, the stars of Wolverine were happy to pose for photographers.
Leading man Hugh joined his co-stars Ryan Reynolds, Dominic Monaghan, Lynn Collins and Black Eyed Peas rapper Will.I.Am.
