Lourdes is beautiful---so she needs some shaping of the eyebrows....so what? The thing with having a beautiful head of hair and beautiful eyelashes is that there is hair everywhere else. That's not the end of the world.
I started getting waxed at 13. It was humiliating, but I've never stopped, and now it seems my hair has lessened as I've gotten older. Lourdes is going to be a knockout. I don't really see why her mother can't have a spa day where they both get all buffed and waxed. Why not? There are ways to do it without making Lourdes feel like a freak.

Exactly. She'll get plenty of grief about her appearance as a woman for the rest of her years, unfortunately.

That little girl looks like a cross breed between Big Foot and Susan Atkins. Poor thing.

Poor girl - my neice is probably that hairy - hell, me too for that matter, I just have the option of doing something about it. Fortunately, my niece is blond - as am I - and our hair on our arms, legs and face is almost invisible .. unlike poor Lola. The gals here are right, Lola will be beautiful and all that hair will be gone. Look at the Kardashian gals... hopefully this one won't be a total ho...

My own little mixed up theory is that Vadge is one of these types who doesn't want her daughter to be more beautiful than her so she doesn't let her fix herself up at all. Seriously!
Lourdes will grow up to be way more beautiful than her mother ever dreamt of being IMO.

You posted exactly what I was thinking. Madge only has a few more years before Lola is outshining the way even she looked at her best. So she's enjoying these few sweet years she has of Lola being in the "awkward" stage
I would ordinarily say "ugly stage" but she clearly is not ugly. It's just an issue of not being old enough to groom herself like a big girl yet. Even though Madge could bend a little on this, as anyone else as famous as her (or maybe even not) would have.

I'm sure when she is old enough, she will wax herself. I think she will look stunning when she is older.

And if Madonna was taking Lourdes in for regular waxings, everyone would be complaining that Madonna isn't letting her child just be a child, and is giving the poor kid a complex.
She's ONLY 11, she's got all the time in the world to worry about her physical appearance, without having to start worrying about it now.

Here's the thing that hairiness is insane and Madonna was/is hairy too... but I just think it is fucking sadistic in almost a Mommy Dearest way that Madonna wouldn't at least have her eyebrows trimmed up or something...
I'm kind of in agreement with Sweetness here.

I totally agree with letting a kid be a kid, but in this particular case, grooming that excessive facial hair would be no different than getting a haircut. Kind of like with my nephew. He started needing to shave when he was only 12 years old. He was still very much a kid, but it would've looked ridiculous to let him go around with a full beard and moustache.
It's even worse to let a little girl go around with one IMO.
I would want to protect my daughter from unnecessary teasing, but maybe that's just me.
It's her kid and she can do what she wants, but I still think Mrs. Dark, Just Kill Me and I are onto something about Vadge not wanting her stunning young daughter to outshine her.

^I agree. As the mother of a girl who is currently really cute, but went through a very awkward stage (much to her chagrin) I never wanted her to not outshine me. I take pride that she currently outshines most of anything I ever did fashion or looks-wise. And I suffered for and with her when she went through gawky stages.
I will say that in between the eyebrows and the moustache are the only things that need to be addressed right now, and that's just sensible, not over the top.

Guy Ritchie: No Christmas Presents for My Family
TUESDAY NOVEMBER 20, 2007 11:00 AM EST
Christmas came early to London's Leicester Square Monday night for the
European premiere of Fred Claus.
The movie's stars Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti held court amid the fake
snow and over-sized evergreens, while Guy Ritchie (a.k.a. Mr. Madonna)
escorted kids Lourdes, 11, and Rocco, 7, though the winter wonderland.
Just a warm-up for an over-the-top gift-a-palooza at the superstar's house?
Hardly.
"We canceled Christmas a few years ago," Ritchie, the 39-year-old director
of Snatch, told PEOPLE. "Stopped all the presents. And ever since [we]
stopped the presents, we're are actually enjoying it."
So this year's celebration will be a quiet affair. "We are not sure what we
are doing," he added. "Probably staying in London."
As for who's doing the cooking, Ritchie replied, "Well, it's not me!"

Gosh, they sound like a fun bunch. Wish I could spend time with them.

I feel the same way, Mira. I've got 2 beautiful little girls and though they aren't old enough to go through those awkward stages yet, I will definitely try to help them out when they do. If something ever bothers them-- you know what I mean. Nothing over the top (like tanning or bleaching their hair), but whatever it takes to help give them confidence.
If Madonna took the child for a waxing, I don't think anyone would say anything negative because they'd be none the wiser. Without the excessive facial hair she'd just look like a perfectly normal, beautiful little girl.
