Speaking from personal experience I'll take street smarts over book smarts any day, since you can always teach book smarts. I work in a scientific field and some of the book smart people I deal with just make you say "Wow!". They feel the title Dr or another advanced degree allows them to run rampant, make poor decisions (because they don't understand the market or how to talk to customers but feel since they are so smart they "know" what is best) or belittle someone who has worked there for 20 years and can run rings around them in terms of skill and real-world knowledge.

It's the whole idea of when you're a kid you can do anything, your options are wide open. When in reality they aren't. How many people do you know that think they can sing, run their own business or are going to school for their 6th time in a different field. So CoCo decided the best thing she could do is alter her appearance, find success in that arena and end up, according to all accounts, a loving and stable relationship. This isn't the worst she could have done with herself. She's not lecturing us on "the maps and the Iraqs, such that", who we should vote for, going green etc. So she dresses a bit extreme. I'd rather see that than someone adopting a kid every year because they have transferred their addictive personality to a new field.
