What happened to Heather Locklear's face? Actress visibly ages in just a few months

She is regarded as the poster girl for fresh faced middle aged beauty.
But her age finally appeared to be catching up with Heather Locklear yesterday.
The 48-year-old had greying hair, puffy eyes and sagging skin around her jawline and neck as she arrived at the Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach, California.

The signs of ageing were not visible just five months ago, when she was photographed at a charity event.
And it may be that the stress of the past year is finally starting to show.
The Spin City and Melrose Place star, who was voted 25th on TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly's Top 100 television icons in 2007, has since become better known for her controversial personal life than her acting.

In April Locklear was arrested on suspicion of hit and run after a no parking sign near the gated community in which she lives was knocked over leaving vehicle debris.

Her car was spotted entering the community showing matching damage.

No charges were filed due to insufficient evidence however a short time after the incident Locklear checked herself into in-patent rehab for treatment for addiction to prescription drugs, checking out just next month.


This was not the first time Locklear has had a troubled private life.

In March 2008 her personal physician called 911 and claimed Locklear was attempting to commit suicide.

The following month Locklear checked into a rehabilitation facility in Arizona for treatment for psychological issues including anxiety and depression.
In September of the same year Locklear was pulled over whilst driving and arrested for driving under the influence.

She was later charged with the offence and put on three years probation.

Many celebs use botox for events, to tighten faces, to stop sweating.
I'm betting she's due for new shots.

Isn't there surgery or some sort of treatment for tightening up the jowl/neck area? Could have sworn I read about something that supposedly fixed that.

I don't think she looks bad.. What I notice is that the writer chose the worst photos to highlight "how bad she looks". She looks like a normal 48 year old, I feel sad that celebs are supposed to be superhumans are not allowed to age.
