I got this idea from the female bodybuilding thread.
Bascially I think the bodybuilding indsutry has turned into an an exhibtition for steriod freaks instead of a sport about muscle symmetry and fair muscle building. Nowadays all one has to do in the bodybuilding world is too inject alot roids, and work out like a manic to achieve a muscle mass of some winners in the BB industry. Of course this is not fair to the real bodybuilders who do it the old fashion way, dedicated workouts and strict dieting.
Here's one example of a bodybuilder gone extreme:
This guy is named Gregg Valentino. IN most cases he's considered a joke in the bodybuilding world, however he has a fanbase and some consider him to have the "biggest arms in the world". This tool injected a chemical called Synthol that he injected straight into his biceps to make them bigger. This guy even shills it out on his site! Just like steroids, Synthol is a very dangerous chemical that can expand muscle, but can cause the heart to overwork in order to pump blood into the expanded muscle.
I'll be posting more on how bodybuilding has become a mess.
Look at the guy's biceps.
Now try and picture him scratching his nose. He can't do it.
Why? Well, try it. Your forearm comes up close to, and
up against, your bicep, as your finger comes within reach of
And this dude can't do that.
Because when your biceps and triceps are that big,
your forearm can't squeeze the bicep muscle group
hard enough to get close to the nose.

i knew a guy who was so big well...he was nice big though..that if he held his arm out straight and bent his elbow towards his chest he couldn't touch it
"Tool" is right, Mr. A! I've seen him on TV and he seems to be more than a bit shady, with ties to the criminal world. Didn't one of his muscles actually rupture or something??

That's disgusting and insane and totally disproportionate. Look at them tiny little fore arms compared to the biceps. It's a caricature, like Popeye
Of course this is Arnold Scwarznegger. Even though he got a little bigger in his BB career, he still had perfect symmetry in his physique. He' was the ideal image for BB back then. However by today's BB standards, he would'nt stand a chance against this behemoth:
Ronnie Coleman won "Mr Olympia" recently. I dunno if he takes steroids, but still anyone whose not in the industry can tell that all that muscle is a bit much. It is hard for upcoming bodybuilders (I used to be one myself) that have to get up to this kind of standard when there are BIG guys like Ronnie winning over others who are more natural looking.

there's a point when it's not sexy anymore....
i like it when it looks like the guy got his muscle from doing sports or activites you know? not by living in the gym
Speaking of which:
I think this dude has the best looking physique. It's got a balance of definition and muscularity without that "stuffed with meat" muscle look that most BBs today have going on.
Generally speaking I think swimmers (male and female) have the best physiques.
Why do people say "Grow some balls"? Balls are weak and sensitive! If you really wanna get tough, grow a vagina! Those things take a pounding! -Betty White
I'm all in favour of hard...er...bodies but I think most of these people are beyond the pale. I agree about the swimmers but most of the women get that very broadshouldered butch look after a while.
These obsessive-compulsive muscleheads just look like sides of beef.
