This is a video I found of Whitney singing I Will Always Love You in Malaysia. Not perfect, but the voice is definitely coming back.

^^Yeah, I know Dolly recorded it for the movie The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas with Burt Reynolds.
But I had never heard of the song until Whitney recorded it back in the 90's for The Bodyguard, but I like both versions.

^^ When Dolly sang it at her concert she praised Whitney for making it such a huge hit. She said she loves Whitney's version and that she was very impressed by what she did with such a simple little song.
She also joked that she loved all the money that Whitney helped her to make off of it.

^^Yeah, I heard Dolly praise Whitney's version, and about the money. Since Whitney's version became the best-selling single by a female singer Dolly's raked in millions. Hell, if I was Dolly, I'd be praising Whitney, too.
And since Whitney's version still gets played a lot, Dolly's still raking in big money. I should get Dolly to adopt me.

You're half right. Whitney's covers are always good. Mariah's are a little more hit and miss.

Whitney could sing the ABC's and make them sound beautiful.
Mariah can sing, but sometimes that high pitched squealing gets on my nerves.

I love cranking up the volume on Whitney's Greatest Hits album. I'm expecting that voice to shatter my windows.

^^I was just listening to that in the car on my way to work today. Hopefully, she can get her voice back to sounding almost like that again.

Same here. That's one of the reasons why her voice is shot, and she lip-synchs a lot of her concerts now. She over-used that high-pitch note.

True. But if I can do high notes like that, I'd over-do it too LOL.
I was watching one of her concerts when I was young (or was it a music video?) and during the commercial break I kept trying to do it...trial and error. It was probably my 40th try and I did it! I felt so proud. Sadly I didn't hold it for too long, and I can't do it anymore...

Well, you and Mariah have something in common then, because she can't either.
Seriously though, the late/great Minnie Riperton used to be able to hit those high notes long before Mariah, and she didn't overuse them the way Mariah did.

Beautiful woman, beautiful voice. NOW STAY AWAY FROM THE HAS BEEN CRACK FIENDS. No more Bobby. No Debarges. No KFeds..actually, she would do better with KFed than BB.
Why should her daughter get a nose job? She is still young and that is a negroid nose on a negro. Black people with caucasian noses look ridiculous.

Exactly. As long as Whitney steers clear of Bobby, and all of the other junkies like Cherrelle that she ran with, she should be okay.
And her kid does look too much like Bobby, although Whitney's DNA is starting to kick in a little.
