I've been reading a book I picked up in a second hand store- The fifty-year decline and fall of Hollywood by Ezra Goodman. Published in 1961.
There are some really great stories in it including Robert Mitchum telling a story about how Marilyn didn't actually read any of the books that she was always photographed reading. She was on set reading Freud, and when Mitchum asked her why she was reading it she said "I think it helps one to be able to talk about ones self". He asked her what she was reading about and she said "anal eroticism" and Mitchum asked if she thought that would come up in conversation. After a few minutes she asked Mitchum "What's eroticism?", so Mitchum explained. A little while later she looked up from the book and asked "What's anal?". Mitchum's stand in couldn't take it and jumped in with "That's the keester".
All of God's children are not beautiful. Most of God's children are, in fact, barely presentable.
Awesome! "Keister" is one of those auto-funny words that needs a full-scale revival.

Did you know that every time a parent gives in to their kid's whines and buys them candy at the checkout lane, a kitten gets diabetes?-Dlisted

I had an end of year boat party in May and my then-lecturer said I looked like Marilyn. Beyond ridiculous, I'm afraid![]()

That's a good pic of her^
Silly bitches, twitchy links are NOT for kids!-Mel
I found my 2 pictures of MM pregnant in 1958, they were on a back-up drive of mine I found while looking for other damn pics I can't seem to find. So she's supposedly pregnant in these pictures taken on a studio lot and is partially why she's sort of "covered up" maybe too
ugh, sorry they're so small, they're bigger but I didn't download them, I just saved them directly from my backup
but it is her and she does appear preggers, of course none of her pregnancies even got to the 2nd trimester I believe and an expert in gynecology told her once later in her life, I read, that she would never be able to have kids due to different reasons some of her control, some not of her control. but this pregnancy was from her husband of the time Arthur Miller
^ I remember seeing a documentary on her on the BBC and
in it was slow motion footage of her, pregnant, while filming
"Some Like It Hot". It was during the scenes at the beach,
so she was in a bathing suit and she was walking off the set
with some assistants, quite cheerfully, but then she looked
like she was vomiting at the end of the clip. The voice over
said that the sea was still cold when they shot those scenes
and she was still suffering from morning sickness so that
wasn't helping much.
I think she lost that baby during the making of that movie.
