Re: Jackie Kennedy
I agree. She managed to maintain a dignified demeanour even when
faced with family tragedies that occurred on the world stage.
Granted, there have been tell-all books about her cheating on her hubby
-- JFK was with Marilyn while she was with William Holden, et al. --
but she remained above the rabble, even when the Kennedy men
were doing things that were not only indiscreet but downright
disgusting. (I'm referring to the mentally-challenged Kennedy woman,
who died last year.)

Re: Jackie Kennedy
I'm sorry, it might just be me but I don't find this woman in the least bit attractive. She has really weird eyebrows, like they're stuck out. She reminds me of Frankenstein.

Re: Jackie Kennedy [First Lady]
Ourmanibusan, youre totally right. She was always there, with dignity and she raised her children perfectly imo. Ethel Kennedy, in the other hand, couldnt handle with her big bunch (11 kids) when RFK was assasinated, and some of her kids turned out to be some spoiled brats, the same as Christopher Lawford and the Smith Kennedy boy(cant remember his name now).
its amazing because despite all his flaws and shadows, this family is just fascinating. When you have a book about them in your hands you cant stop reading til you get to the last page. its awesome.
tiara, i understand you not liking her phisically. I thought the same a couple of years ago. But after reading lots of stuff about her , learning about her life, and seeing tons of photographs, i really think she was very appealing and attractive, NOT BEAUTIFUL, as i said before.
Additional Comment:
She had an awesome style. Theres just something special about them (JFK & Jackie)

Their hot son, John-John(God bless his soul) who just got the best features of both of them.

Re: Jackie Kennedy [First Lady]
I think Jackie was very pretty. She definitely had a European look to her, a very ethnic look which was probably very different for the white-bread Kennedy's. She epitomized class and I think her son John, looked exactly like Jackie and her father. That man may have been a Kennedy but he looked like a Bouvier all the way. He was GORGEOUS.

Re: Jackie Kennedy [First Lady]
Sorry, but I think she is hideous. Me being perfect and all. No really she is only a chromosome away from being a cranio-facial statistic. Those wide set eyes detract any semblance of good looks she might have had. But looks arent everything, Her style was classic. Totally her own. SHe carried herself so well and dealt with tragedies with great dignity. She was beautiful inside.

Re: Jackie Kennedy [First Lady]
She had an impeccable sense of style. She created several trends that have endured and come back around even today - bug eyed sunglasses, for example, were around long before Nicole Richie threw on a pair.

Re: Jackie Kennedy [First Lady]
I think Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was very attractive. I don't see ugly at all. She looked different, spoke differently, even dressed differently. That's what made her so famous--she was so stunning...an Angelina Jolie of sorts at that that time--a 'different' face for that era.
I love seeing old footage on t.v. of Jackie with her kids. Those black & white pictures and grainy film of them holding the kids and playing with them on the White House grounds. The Kennedys were so affectionate with the kids, so real. It was obvious that she and President Kennedy absolutely adored Caroline and John Jr. and you can see that Jackie was a fabulous mother. Even the day of the assassination and of the funeral, she was so beautiful, walking around in that pink suit with her husband's blood splattered all over it and holding her children's hands walking up to the coffin. Always stylish, always dignified. There will never be another Jackie---she WAS style, grace and beauty.

Re: Jackie Kennedy [First Lady]
^(and others) I don't understand how people can find Jackie Kennedy ugly. She wasn't a classical beauty, but she certainly stood out in a crowd with her elegant features and style. She was tall, dark, pretty and unique. Best kept secret was that she was a chain smoker. Worst thing about her I always found her weird speaking voice.
