One of the things I really like about Dita is the fact that while IMHO she isn't typically "drop-dead gorgeous", she plays up her most beautiful features to the point where she is absolutely striking (ie. the contrast between the black hair and the pale skin). She's definitely one of those self-made beauties who possesses more than her far share of allure and personal charm. The 1950s pin-up persona is all part of the show and hell, it's fabulous! Here is Dita with her natural hair colour.

Physically, other than her dyed black hair, I don't see anything that makes her stand out.

But I have to say, she does have style.

What makes her stand out is probably the way she behaves in her private life. Pretty dignified. Oh and as for the Bettie Page thing? That is so tired! Just because she has the same hair colour (she's hardly the only one) and she dresses retro, it doesn't mean she is a knock off. Dita is an original in her own time. She is inspired by other artists as well, not just one model, and she also brings her own personality into what she does. And really, two famous black haired burlesque models are hardly boring, like everyone else said, in a sea of vapid blond bimbos. I mean, you don't say about all the blondes that they are cheap knock off of Marilyn Monroe, do you?
