He should have had a kid with Julie Christie, definetely.
HWBL check this pic out , its really interesting:

Warren and Julie with Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski.

i cant remember exactly where i read it, but i think that Warren was on the list of the Manson family freaks too, along with Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Frank Sinatra, Steve McQuenn...really scarey.

    LUNAAAAAAAAAAAAA

What a pretty pic! I didn't have that one yet, thank you so much for sharing! (There's that famous Beatty "I'm really not all that tall" slouch again)

Yep, Warren and Roman were lucky that they both were in Europe at the time, though not in the same country I think. Roman was working on a movie when the news of the horrible massacre broke. Warren and another friend then flew to Roman and escorted him back home since he was in a total state of shock.
What can one say? These idiots were out of this world, following a beast like Manson. Did he actually physically kill someone himself, or did his followers do all the dirty work for him?

    Youre welcome,sweetie!!

Actually, that Manson freak killed a guy called Shorty or something like that, a cowboy, i believe, but im not sure.... Bunch of losers!
Which film was Warren filming in Europe by that time?? Roman was writing a script in London. He was in his London flat (where Sharon left him a note inside the book "Tess" where she wrote:"This woudl make a great film") when he got the phone call with the terrible news.

^ Okay thanks for the info

I was wrong in my earlier post> Warren WAS in London too.
He was there because his of his relationship with Julie Christie!
    (how could I forget! )

I just collected pictures of several of his leading ladies
(some of them only privately, some of them only in the movies,
some of them in both! ) through the years together with a pic
of the movie they starred in with him.

His first fiancee (that we know of ) Joan Collins (1933-) through the years.
First pic with Warren, then 23!
They were together for about 2 years.
    Pics from 1955, 1965, 1975, 1985, 1995, 2005.

His first movie, Splendor In The Grass (1961), co-star Natalie Wood (1938-1981),
later his lover for about 2 years.
    Pics of 1955, 1966, 1970, 1978 and 1981.

No romance, although Warren did charm and accompany her because of her depression.
Vivien Leigh (1913-1967). The movie was The Roman Spring Of Mrs. Stone (1961).
In it Warren played a nasty, Italian (!) gigolo!!!
    Pics of 1935, 1939, 1947, 1954, 1961, 1964.

I don't know if she came directly after Natalie, but one of his next co-stars became a lover as well.
Leslie Caron (1931-). The movie was Promise Her Anything (1965).
She was already separated from her husband before she started her affair
with Warren, but still her husband named Warren as one of the reasons
for the break-up of their marriage in the divorce papers
    Pics of 1954, 1964, 1974, mid eighties, 1994 and 2004.

No romance, according to her, with Warren, just a leading lady in
one of his best movies. Faye Dunaway (1941-).
The movie was Bonnie&Clyde of course (1967).
    Pics of 1966, 1967, 1977, 1980, 1988, 1990, 1995 and 2005.

Another leading lady with whom he did NOT have an affair.
Elizabeth Taylor (1932-) was married to Richard Burton for the first
time, when she and Warren filmed together.
The movie was The Only Game In Town (1969).
A bit of a boring movie in which the rather matronly Taylor is supposed
to be not only a chorus girl ( ) but also about five years
younger than the then still boyish Beatty ( )
    Pics of 1957, 1966, 1970, 1978, 1980, 1983, 1988, 1996 and 2005.

Then, the lovely Julie Christie (1941-).
She did come directly after his affair with Leslie Caron and they had an 8
year relationship, although they twice they broke up for a brief period.
Julie played in three of his movies.
The first movie was McCabe and Mrs. Miller (1971), then came Shampoo (1975)
and finally Heaven Can Wait (1978)...
Julie is not a fan of publicity, so the pics are few and far between,
and the exact dates are also a bit iffy.
Roughly sixties, early seventies and mid to late nineties.

Cooky Goldie Hawn (1945-). It is a bit shady whether or not they had
a – brief – affair. He never discusses his affairs and she denies it.
But then Warren has always said that if women claim that he made a
pass on them, he didn’t and if they claimed he didn’t make a pass,
he did. She’s always named as party in one of his brief affairs,
though, so she could’ve slipped in when he and Julie were briefly
separated (which to my knowledge happened twice).
Goldie also played in three of his movies.
The first movie was Dollars/The Heist (1971), then came Shampoo (1975)
and finally Town And Country (1998). .
    Pictures from 1967, 1974, 1981, 1996, 2005.

Then, after a relationship with “The Mammas and the Pappas” Michelle Philips (1944-),
the first new ladylove with whom he starred in another project was Diane Keaton (1946-).
They became an item around 1978 and it’s probably the third longest relationship
he had after his marriage to Annette and his relationship with Julie, ending around 1983.
Diane played in two of his movies.
The first movie was his masterpiece Reds (1981), and Town And Country (1998)...
    Pics of Diane from 1974, 1984, 1996, 2005.

His hilarious movie, Ishtar (1987), co-starring Isabelle Adjani (1955-),
his lover for about 2-3 years, beginning around 1985.
    Pics of 1976, 1986, 1997, and 2005.

Then, after a mutually beneficial relationship of 2 years with (gag) Madonna (1958-) which resulted in the artistically wonderful movie Dick Tracy (1990),
Beatty finally found the love of his life in
Annette Bening (1958) during the filming of Bugsy (1991) in which he probably played his best role yet.
Annette and Warren first became parents of daughter Kathlyn in January of
1992, married in March of that year and are still together,
    now with three more children.
Annette played in two of his movies. The first movie was Bugsy (1991),
the second was as boring as Bugsy was exhilarating, Love Affair (1994)...
    Pics of Annette from 1986, 1989, 1992, 1995, 2000 and 2005.

I used to wonder why Manson had never been put to death, but it
turns out that he actually murdered no one. His followers did it,
but state prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi wanted Manson locked up
for life, as he considered the cult leader to be highly dangerous
if he could influence people to do such things:

Ourman , actually, all the members of the manson family who participated in the Tate/La Bianca crimes (included Manson)were sentenced to death first, but then the death penalty was abolished there, and they were sentenced to life.

He wanted to start a family since he was in his thirties. With Julie he thought he'd found the perfect mate. He did> politically, intellectually, sexually, artistically. Only one thing> Julie did not want to put children on this planet. They muddled on for a while after that fact came to the surface, but eventually they parted ways as friends.

    who'd acquired a rough screenplay/story on Bonnie & Clyde.
They talked about it, and Truffaut admitted thinking that he as a French man
might not be the right person to make a movie or documentary out of it.
Warren ended up with the transcript, was immediately interested in its
possibilities and sought out two relative newcomers to screenplay writing and the rest is history.
    His instincts sure paid off!

Probably the first movie in which Warren looked his age (ouch, hehe) but was still smokin' hot. Some, wrongly, see his role as a vain actor's ego trip. Anyone who really takes time to analyze the part sees the male counterpart of the dumb blonde, a people pleaser who ends up empty handed, mainly because there's a lot of vacancy going on in that pretty head of his
The political backdrop and social comment is of course crucial for this Beatty production, the first one he co-wrote. He also starred with several of his favorite people: 2 ex-lovers (Goldie Hawn, brief romance, and Julie Christie with whom he had an 8 year relationship), a cameo by his then current lover (Michelle Philips) and Jack Warden (with whom he starred in 3 movies).
And now for the drool fest. All thumbnails.

GEE, this isn't really working well.
Can't get a separate post for a separate reply on a separate movie.
    What happened?

Found some more clips and trailers. I don't know how to make individual links to the clips,

    http://tcmdb.com/search.jsp?methodNa...Go.x=19&Go.y=9

    http://tcmdb.com/participant/partici...articipantId=0

but there's stuff from "All Fall Down", his third movie, with Angela Lansbury (only 12 years his senior) as his mom, Karl Malden as his dad and Eva Marie Saint (13 years older than him) his girlfriend.

    From Bonnie & Clyde,
    Shampoo
    and
    Reds.

    Enjoy!!!

Warren and Shirley. Or Shirley (as in MacLaine) and Warren (as in Beatty) rather, since she came first.

Little Warren, the unfortunate looking 3 year old and big sis Shirley, and on the right 5 year old Warren, beginning to look more human and 8 year old Shirley as well as 15 year old Warren, beginning to fill out nicely, playing his treasured piano while 18 year old Shirley watches - she'd soon leave home to start a career in showbiz.

Shirley Beaty, born April 24, 1934, 5'7", redhaired, green/blue eyed daughter of Kathlyn MacLean and Ira Beaty, wanted to be a ballet dancer, but at 6 ft "en pointe" there wasn't a male partner tall enough in the pro business. So she shifted to a more jazzy/modern ballet type of dancing and found her way into showbiz that way. Changed her name into MacLaine for showbiz purposes. As tomboyish, outgoing and craving to be the center of attention as Shirley was (and to a certain extend still is), that's how quiet and shy her brother Warren Beaty was/is.

With two of Warren's girlfriends, first pic Leslie Caron, second Joan Collins.

    Young Shirley studio portraits>

Shirley in some of her early movies>

Shirley with friends Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, with Robert Kennedy (when she and Warren helped Bobby's campaign in 1968) and with 12-year old Liza Minelli and her father, director Vincente Minelli.

Shirley in some of her later and more recent movies>

    Shirley through the years>

Warren Beaty, born March 31, 1937, 6'2", dark brown haired, blue/green eyed son of yada yada yada. Didn't really know what he wanted to be. Did know after playing the sport in high school that he didn't want to be a football player. Played piano in clubs, caught rats outside a theater and then fell into acting, like big sister Shirley. Added a T to his last name to make sure it would be pronounced correctly: Batey instead of Beety
