I saw the AFI tribute tonight. All I can say is that this man is loved. His colleagues are his friends and of course (the women) his colleagues and lovers. They spoke about him not in that Academy Award gushy way, but with heartfelt sincerity and true love. Overall it was like I've known you for 40 years and I love and like you.

The last minute of Bill Clinton's speech was captivating. Diane Keaton? Omg, does she love him.

Halle Berry came out and spoke about Bullworth and then two rappers came out to sing which was pointless.

Jack was sloshed and terribly cute. Shirley cried. Annette and WB were weepy all night.

Dyan Cannon looked great as did Jane Fonda. Why Faye had two foot long blonde extensions, I dunnno.

Heavy hitters in the audience..Barry Diller, David Geffen. Lots of grey hair all around. Not a night for the kiddies.

Watch an Ishtar moment between good friends Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty last night
on the red carpet: while they were greeting each other, Dustin discovered Warren's turkey
neck was bleeding onto his shirt. They, accompanied by assistants, searched for a quiet
corner to try and save Warren's dignity (too late) and his - no doubt - expensive shirt! Gotta
love how Dustin is trying to clean his pal up!
