He's handsome as hell but I've never 'crushed' on him in a big way.

I love Leo. I think he's one of the best younger actors of our time. Look at the roles he's chosen: The Aviator, Titanic, The Departed, Catch Me If You Can, etc., etc.....all brilliantly successful. And then he's sexy to boot!

He's a terrific actor, not one of those 'pretty face but wooden actor' cases.

I never found him appealing, even when he looked his best (before the weight fluctuations). Great actor, totally sexless to me.

Sorry, but he's one of those guys that the more he ages the sexier he is. I was never into him when I was a teenager and he was all super pretty but now he has this like ruggad face and phew. He's sexy.

I have never seen the appeal. Maybe because I still strongly associate him as Johnny Depp's special little brother in What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

Agreed. He was at his best in What's Eating Gilbert Grape, amazing performance. The problem with him is that he's not handsome but pastyfaced, and that multiplied by the fact that he always looks 12 years old. Even now that he's got undereyebags developing and weight fluctuations, he just looks like a 12 year old with undereyebags and weight fluctuations

It's not even so much about how physically attractive he is. For me personally, its how he shows up for interviews in a suit (who does that anymore?) and how he totally charms Oprah (for example) and how he does a great movie and then disappears for awhile only to come back after a hiatus with another great movie.
I can't explain it. He just strikes me as the 'older era' type of of star who commands respect or something. It's like Clooney. Not the greatest actor, but people respect him. He's smart, handsome and his interests go beyond Hollywood. People want to be with him. I'm one who is easily turned off by celebrities who are in my face too much for too long. I'm inclined to like those who keep me wanting more. That's why I've always liked Redford. He used to be breathtakingly handsome, but for me it's more that he's a mystery and I know nothing about him outside of his performances. I probably don't make sense at all....

No, I know exactly what you mean (after all, I'm a fan of one of the old Hollywood guys, too ) but I made my remarks just in the context of this "hot guys" section.
I saw a rerun of Larry King the other day. Because it's his fiftieth anniversary in radio and television they rerun interviews with the old icons. I saw the one with Bette Davis of Feb. 1988. She looked like hell, but was still sharp as anything. She said something so very true, that still goes for today's stars.
She said that the then (1988) current stars were spoiled: they got too much, too soon, that they didn't know what working hard was anymore, that they became stars way too quickly and assumed exhorbitant lifestyles right away.
I agree with you that Clooney has that old Hollywood feel to him, perhaps aided by his slight resemblance to Cary Grant.
I don't know enough about DiCaprio to make a statement on that aspect. I just know that physically I think he's overrated and simply still reminds me of a 12 year old. Somehow the older generation stars matured sooner. When they were 30, they didn't look old, just manly and several of today's stars, no matter what their age, always have a sense of immaturity about them that I can't put my finger on......

Leo
Just saw The Departed and can't wait for Blood Diamond. His shirtless scenes in this movie indicate he is one hot hunk of maleness. Some of you folks are sooooo cruel. Yep he is not the handsomest thing around but he is one terrific actor. And he has class; real class which is something you can't say about Cruise or Pitt or some of the other so called actors in Hollywood.
I think he will marry soon and produce some little Leos and that will be one lucky gal who lands him.

He is getting sexier as he gets old. When I look at him, I can see the next Jack Nicholson.
He looks great from certain angles, but not as good from straight on. He has a look that does draw attention, but it is not classically handsome.
